The young woman's gorgeous frame sat at a table in a bar in the drunken city. She didn't drink as heavily as the men around her, but she enjoyed a drink or two..or three. The bar was lit brightly by the candles adorning the wall and with the drunken happiness of the men around her. She knew that, at least some of it, was due to her presence. Wherever she went, men couldn't take their pervy eyes off of her.

"Three aces," a man sitting across the table said with a poker face as he set them, face down, on a rather large pile.

"Bullshit," Lyn said as she took a sip of her rum. The man cursed and took the cards into his possession. "Four twos," she said as she too placed her cards down.

"Bullshit," the same man called. He flipped the cards and yet again took them.

"Nothing left," Lyn said as she stood up, taking quite a hefty bit of money from the man. Even though the man had lost fair and square, he stood up and lunged at the woman. She sighed and sidestepped, watching the man go flying into the chair. He stood back up and pulled out a dagger, swinging at her. She sighed yet again as she quickly whipped out the Mana Katti, bringing it up through the man's guts. The man quickly fell to the floor as he bled on the hardwood.

"Bartender," the woman asked kindly, "may I have a mop?" The bartender simply nodded, awestruck, and quickly brought one out from behind the bar. The young woman mopped up the scene and doused her blade as well, cleaning it.

"Thank you," she said as she placed a handsome tip from her winnings on the bar before returning back to her seat and shuffling her cards.

Bells dinged furiously as Pirates yelled about. Despite the town, it was an unusually sober night, a lot of the pirates aroud weren't even drunk. Most were half-drunk.

"She's back!" a pirate at the bell yelled. Most of the pirates around the small bar Lyn was at, including the ones that had just observed the onslaughter, dropped their cards and rum.

Any eye could observe a mighty ship drifting into port, hoisting the great colors of the Jolly Roger. That is, if one could see the ship in the faded sunlight which was about gone at this point of the day, where it was turning to evening.

"Miss, I suggest ye take shelter. Ye never know what he brings." a concerned Pirate said to Lyn.

"Fuck that," she said nonchalantly as she wandered outside to the dock. Just who was so high and mighty that she had to go take cover? Not like she ever would, but still. The thought of it was bothersome. The ship slowly made its way toward the dock and the young woman, who simply stood with her crossed across her chest, waiting for this big and mighty pirate.

"Aye girly. You musn't have heard of the recent news? You ever hear of the Legacy? A 18 heavy cannon British war ship. Or the Peste Noire, the Flag SHip of the British Navy, have ye ever heard of them?" the man said with a chuckle.

"Sure, a bunch of pussy Brits. What of it?" She said, somewhat annoyed still. Usually, her mouth wasn't quite so foul, but after all that'd happened that evening, she was a little more than ticked.

"Pussy brits indeed." the man said with another chuckle. "Both of t hem had more cannons that the Kayla Tonic 'ere, and she put them both in the locker single handidly, and took great Fort Mutany for the Pirates. You owe them respect, we all do that through fear. Have fun in your fantasy world." he said with another chuckle, then dashed off into the back-alleys.

Now the moonlight shown brighly, piercing down onto the city and through the wood posted boardwalk which led to the pier in which the Kayla Tonic, now broad-side, was approaching.

"Throw the whatchamacallit...PORT ANCHOR. Throw the port anchor." he said, waddling about a bit as they did so. He had, of course, a nice round bottle of rum in his hand, and after being turned down in cold by Elizabeth, he had been drinking a bit overboard. Something now caught his eye as he pranced over to the rail of the Kayla Tonic, looking down below to the dock, in which held some woman.

"She has a lot of balls for a woman." he mumbled to himself, cackling a bit, before he looked at her.

"You there, what's your hair -- Name. What's your name, lass?" he said, taking another chug of the rum.

Lyndis simply ignored the man. Cannon count means little where there is a lack of skill. She grinned as what appeared to be the captain strolled onto the deck. A party animal, perhaps she could have a good time on this boat, even if the captain was a raving drunk. "Lyndis Sacae," She said simply as she grabbed the anchor, climbing up to the deck. "And who the hell are you?"

Ah, the drunk act was getting old and annoying. He took another swig from the rum and threw the bottle to some crew member.

"Captain Romane Dasmary of the Kayla Tonic." he said with a smile, taking off his hat and giving her a half bow.

She grinned. "Quite the actor, ain't ya?" She bowed slightly before walking over and taking the rum bottle. "You a man for gambling?" She asked as she quickly downed the bottle.

"I'd much rather be killing something, honestly." he said, placing that hat back on his head. She could now seen the full-blown war-man's belt. Boasting two visible swords and 3 pistols, along with various other gadgets and gizmos. And that was just what was visible. But that was all she would need to see.

"I'm afraid I never welcomed you on my ship." he said, taking out his flintlock pistol of the left side of his belt, the double barreled wonder. He pulled back the first hammer.

"An unwelcome Pirate is just as bad as a Brit."

"Well ya sure as hell didn't kick me off," she said simply, not flinching from the pistol being take out. "Testy, aren't ya?" She said with a giggle as she wandered back over the edge, jumping back onto the pier. "Fine then, come find me at the bar if you want to talk," she yelled as she walked slowly back to the bar.

"Damn wenches. Just because they have tits they think they own the place." he mumbled, putting the flintlock pistol back in the outward facing holster before lowering himself down from the Kayla Tonic on a ladder, so he didn't kill himself from a suicidal jump to the pier, which could be a good 2 stories down. He then stalked after her along the pier to this bar of her's.

She puffed as she walked back to the bar. The men all smiled, berating her for even going out to the Tonic. "Dumb wench," one of them muttered. She sighed deeply and sat at an empty table, shuffling her cards in silence.

"Ahoy lads." he said, bursting into the bar and he sat across from the girl, watching her work with the cards.

"Gambling is lame." he said, leaning back in his chair against a wall as he took out a flask of rum.

The man sitting next to Romane stared at him blankly for a second before Lyn snapped her fingers. "Hey, idiot, we got a game to finish," she said angrily.

"Oh...right," the man said, still somewhat distracted. "Four aces. Beat that, wench," he said with a chuckle, reaching for the huge pile of money. There must've been thousands of gold pieces in there.

"Not too hard," she said cheekily as she grinned, grabbing the man's hand and pushing him backwards, causing the chair to fall back. "Royal flush," the girl said triumphantly.

"Cheater!" The man screamed out.

Lyndis simply shrugged and dragged the money toward her. "How would I cheat when you were the dealer and shuffler of that hand? I just got lucky, suck it up," she said, somewhat annoyed with his childish response.

The man growled, but simply left the table in peace, leaving Lyndis to shuffle her cards with Romane sitting across. "It's lame if you suck at it," she said with a a giggle.
