Someone that knows the world he lives in (so, a high end athlete) and that gets him, just generally. Laid-baid, easy to be around kind of person. Likes to party but not too much, likes to enjoy him/herself. Does not care about Adam's sexuality, either, so that if ever Adam one day goes 'oh btw, I was with this guy last night', his best friend does not go 'ew tmi!'. And most importantly, he needs love. Basically, I see a boy or a girl he used to snowboard with when he was younger, before he got in the US team, and they were very much in competition with each other, it was always the two of them. Only Adam made the team, but that other person did not. But now, that person is a coach for the US team, and it all comes back to them when they meet again ahead of the games for training and such. Competition, a lot of teaing and a bit of bitterness that would turn into the strongest bond, and a really intense relationship. That is basically all i have, do not care much about PB, would have to be a character around 25 though. Boy or girl, as said, I'm not fussy for that. Now, if you already have a character and want to plot something else entirely with me, I'm good with that! Plot with me! =D.
