wee..just watched it yesterday hehe the first episode is still as exciting as ever..."the beginning of the end" to the previous gundam seed I guess hehe...Shouldnt be a spoiler but I would like to comment that the new "main" character's gundam is cool.hehe :)

seed is so popular. personally i think it has the best story line of all gundam series.
but as usual, the final gundam that the main character controls too imbalance. :ph43r:

Impulse seems very powerful (maybe it's becos of the pilot), but Chaos, Gaia & Abyss aren't too weak either. pretty cool gundams i would say.

It kinda of resembles the previous gundam seed..it appears that..there is another masked guy who is helping earth...and he is some how able to sense the other long haired guy from zaft/orb..?....just like the previous gundam seed where the guy from earth is able to sense the masked guy from zaft..?..lolz...pardon me..I forgotten their names....

Yah ... but I wonder how is the story going to continue

i really want to know what happened to Justice... even Freedom, which was destoryed in the final battle was rebuilt...... unless of course they scraped Justice for the parts to rebuild Fredom :P :P

hehe. I will wait for the VCD/DVD release. For such shows with lots of talking & deep thinking, I don't really like watching it on the PC laptop.

Gundam cartoons always have a guy wearing a mask. For example wing, seed, seed destiny, 1st gundam( RX-78), gundam F91 and others. They all got 1 bad guy wearing a mask and that is very lame.

Weird thing is the guy hu voices the mask guy(neo i think) is the guy hu voiced Muu La Flaga(SP?).....Quite impossible as there is no way he could hv survived tt explosion........howeva Andrew Bartfield did survive his explosion.....

cose i buy the videos from Hong Kong once in a year or 2.
this monday i returned from HK...they reached part 7 already...but becose they don't have the full series...i never bother to buy it but just watch the shops show it on tv...it was good but the story line is gettin abit borin...plans on stealin gundams...from moblie suit gundam...stole 4 gundams...from seed...main character gundam can change into 3 forms...copy from seed again...the other 4 gundams r also upgraded copys of the seed gundams...


like to ask if anyone know anything about the series gundam seed MSV...i seen their model kits n played the ms in the new ps2 game gundam seed something(japanese so don't know wat it means).
but i am clueless in whether if it is a comic or an animation...

The masked characters are a tribute to Char Aznable, I guess. And as for the people being able to sense each other, they're called New Types. They have psychic abilities, and are able to use fin funnels(those mini drone things used by Providence that fly all over the place.).

Really? I thought i saw the "funnels" are attached to a string or something in one of the battle scenes. (somewhere in episode 4-5 where he fought Rey) You can clearly see the string LOL

I think it was stated in one of the episodes that only New Types can use fin funnels. I'm not too sure which though.

lolx... new type... isn't that only in the gundam series with sazabi and char?? can't remember the series name and all... kinda old alreadi...

i nv finished watching gundam seed, but they brought back the new types??

The 'funnel'-looking things in the SEED universe are not necessarily the same as the ones we all know from the Universal Century series.

For example, the Providence Gundam's pod things are officially known as the DRAGOON system (which stands for: Disconnected Rapid Armament Group Overlook Operation Network).

The Moebius's 'funnel' things are also called something else, I think.

Oh, well. I didn't watch any Destiny episodes, though, so all this is based on SEED alone.

Yo Kelvin, there aren't any New Types in Seed? I always thought that Muu La Flaaga(Or however it's spelt) and the masked guy were New Types, seeing that they were able to sense each other like Amuro and Char.

Even though they seem to have that same familiar 'New Type sparkle', I don't think it automatically makes Muu and Kuruuze New Types unless some official sourcebook says so. There is usually a lot of speculation around Gundam anime, but usually, people will get answers from character mooks, etc. hehe.

But still, it was a very touch thrown into the anime for fans of the old series. I loved the relationship between Muu and Kuruuze, and I nearly jumped when I first saw the Providence launching the 'funnels' and was like "OMG!!! That is so classic!"

I haven't watched any episode of Destiny yet, cos' I dislike watching such engaging anime on my puny laptop screen. I'll wait for the DVD release, even if it is gonna take like 1-2 years.

They can sense each others... That makes me think of Star Wars, Darth n his son Btw Star war 3 coming soon...

New Type only appear in the UC which range from Gundam all the way to V-gundam n the X-gundam AW. SO far from what i know...Gundam have 4 types of people...New Type,Normal Type,Enhance Type( i only know the chinese name....they r created from drug indose like the 3 gundam pliot in seed.they r also something like manmake copies of new type) n Coordinates.

Coordinates r some how like combine of Enhance n New types without those Psy powers, pressure abitilies n drug reaction problem.... :lol:

I still think New Type r the strongest as NT r natural evolution of human where as Co r genetic engineered.

I hated the main lead in gundam 0083 Afterglow of Zeon n dislike Kira(cose he is a cry baby) n a few others......

I dun watch much Gundam (maybe cos i dun really like mecha), only watched Gundam Wing, Gundam Seed & still watching Gundam Seed Destiny. I prefer those anime that are more "magical" like Full Metal Alchemist, Naruto & Flame of Recca.

• Deathscythe Custom (love the black colour)
• Zero Custom (love the wings)

Characters (Male):

• Heero Yuy (like his ruthless personality)
• Athrun Zala (like his strong personality)
• Kira Yamato (like his sense of responsibility)
• Shinn Asuka (like his attitude and bad temper)

Characters (Female):

• Cagalli Yula Attha (like her strong personality)
• Lacus Clyne (like her caring personality)

Didn't watch Destiny, but didn't know the new lead has bad temper. hehe.

As for favorite characters & MS, I can only remember recent ones I watched, like SEED.

I didn't really like Gundam Wing cos' it was a little too 'bishounen-ish' to me. haha. No one likes Turn-A cos' it is so ugly with that gigantic moustache!

[ Gundam SEED ]

Characters:

Yzak Jule - Typical hot-blooded character. But with a scar, so that's a plus. And he never switched sides throughout the series. I like his determination. Voiced by Seki Tomakazu (Domon Kasshu of G-Gundam fame).
Orga Sabnack - Druggie number 1. Plays the leader role. The three druggies are very cool psychotic baddies and stand out from the rest of the cast.
Shani Andras - Druggie number 2. Miyamoto Shunichi's voice is so unique. "Hah!"
Crot Buer - Druggie number 3. "Hissatsu! Massatsu! Shunsatsu! Gekimetsu!" Absolutely love his screams.

MS:

I guess I like Calamity, Raider and Forbidden cos' of their pilots. Forbidden can bend his beams and Raider pukes lasers from his mouth. *gasp*

Gold Frame Amatu - A recent favorite. From the Astray series. Never read the novel/comic, but saw it in video games. It has Mirage Colloid cloaking technology thanks to the fact that the destroyed Blitz Gundam's arm is attached to it. And it has cool sounding weapons that sound so bizarre ("The Living Sword of Evil") that I almost thought it was from the G-Gundam universe. The pilot is Rondo Ghina Sahaku who is a psychotic evil dictator with his own political machination. Oh, and he has an evil twin sister, too. Evil runs in the family...


[ Other Favorites (Oldies) ]

Haman Karn (Z/ZZ) - Evil lady with an air of authority. The AMX-004 Qubeley is my all-time favorite because of its simplicity. All it has are hand-mounted Beam Launchers, the standard Saber, and Funnels. Yes, gotta have Funnels.

*gasp* Realized I don't like many good guy characters. Well, at least I think Kira is quite likeable. hehe.

okay, maybe he doesn't really have a bad temper, but he does have issues with anyone from Orb.

oh oh....now that kelvin said the name i remembered.....her name is Haman Karn.she was Char ex-state but she killed him cose he don't wanna join her to rebuilt the fallen Zeon... :P

i like gold frame too cose it uses gold n black as its main colour...lol
but i still like red frame sword better...Hmm.....if gold frame use the sword...i will surely fall in love with gold frame... :lol:

Blue frame n its huge sword is cool too...

Haiz....i kind of like almost all the gundams there is... :unsure:

Any idea why blue frame second L has a gattling gun mounted pod? I can't really see it being use in any mobile suit battle...

in the comic...blue frame nvr use its gattlin cannon at all... he only passes it to red n let red use it as a replacement 4 his broken sword...

From my point of view... it should be a addittional function to make the model 'more nice'.....cose the sword is too heavy to be carried by the gundam( hack...the sword is as long as the gundam) :P
Or it might be a function left out of the story as useless(like u said) but added to the model kit...cose Strike Gundam also has one sword which was left out of the animation but was added to the kit as the writer likes it.... :lol:

The Backpack booster and sword got uses...very nice touch..but the gattling gun? The only time i see the gattling gun got use is when in the backpack mode..can shoot from behind when running away..

I have a really small collection,mostly from wing series n got like 4 deathscythe gundam(1 bb gundam,2 costom type where 1 is a limited version n 1 large death scythe hai)...... :lol:

blue frame gattlin cannon is stronger than a normal rifle use by the ms in the story thats 4 sure(but has to be used with the stand to support ;) )...n besides,the guy usin blue frame nvr get to fight any gundam with ps armor,thus makin his gattlin cannon as deadly as bein cool..... :D

my favourite is the G-generation series n the super robot wars series.....
I just restarted playin GF again(the game is kind of old but is nice) :D

I used to build models. I like the small 1/144 ones as they are small and easy to keep around. Now I have chucked the, all into my cupboard.

As for Gundam games, my all-time favorite is Gundam: The Battle Master 2 (JPN) for the PS. The graphics and animation were considered amazing during that time.

By the way, I woke up early today and caught Gundam SEED on Kids Central. They are up to episode 37, which means the Earth Alliance druggies will be making an appearance next Saturday (22nd JAN). I can't wait to hear how they sound in English.

cool huh...at the ending of Episode 22..when the Main cannon of Minerava is gonna shoot...Freedom shot its Rifle at the main cannon..then it makes its appearence...woo hoo.. :o
