Title: Silk Screen & Buttons

Hey! I'm sorry I've never been able to attend a meeting and bring this up, but I had an idea that I thought might help this group. I've got a silk screen and squeegee that are just collecting dust from when I was in a hardcore band over 7 years ago. I have no plans to ever use it again, and thought that if someone here knows how to burn an image onto it it could be an easy fund raiser to make diychi shirts, and would also raise awareness and support for the group. If you burned the image in the screen people could just bring blank shirts to events and could screen it themselves for sliding scale donation, or we could just make a slew of them.

I also have a 1" button press that I'd be willing to get working again and make some diychi buttons with the parts I've got laying around. I think all we'd need is a logo and I could print the design off for free at work.

If any of that sounds alright let me know. I'd like to get active with this group, but have a class Wednesdays downtown from 7:30-9, so getting to meetings punctually would be a bummer.

Good idea. Are you on the google group? If not, you should sign up. You can get in touch directly with some of the people in the group who are working on some things like logos, etc.
I know the meetings are not the most convenient time for everybody. We're trying to figure out a way to have meetings at a couple different times because to make things more accessible. Even if you can't make it to the meetings, get involved online and help out with some of the projects we are working on. We're trying to make things as accessible as possible.
