news and suggestions - - - this board is here for staff to post announcements and updates about the site and for members to post suggestions on how we can improve the site.

accepted applications - - - all accepted applications are moved here. so if your application has been moved here congrats and welcome to crossfire.

sign-ups - - - after you've registered your character, filled out your application, and been accepted, come here to sign your character up for the necessary things!

wanted ads - - - if you don't know which character you want to play, take a look in here. and, of course, if you desperately need a character to complete your epic plot? let the world know by posting a topic.

plotting and shipping - - - your best friends, your worst enemies, plenty of drama, and everything else you can possibly think of. this is where the magic happens.

notes & letters - - - whether you're sending an owl to your mum, a love poem to your beloved, or just desperately need to borrow a quill from that random kid to your left, all written forms of communication may be posted here.

the towers - - - the many towers of hogwarts, including the astronomy tower, the gryffindor and ravenclaw common rooms, the north tower and the owlery. the headmasters' office is also located in a tower, but you didn't hear it from me.

the dungeons - - - mouldy and dim, the dungeons house both slytherin and hufflepuff students. the kitchens can be found here, too, as well as the potions classroom.

sixth floor - - - a few lavatories, a few empty corridors, and the divination classroom. not a particularily interesting floor, to say the least.

seventh floor - - - rumour has it that the room of requirement may be located somewhere on this floor. both the occlumency and ancient ruins classrooms are around here, somewhere, as well.

the grounds - - - the lovely grounds of hogwarts; the lawns, the quidditch pitch, the courtyard, the greenhouse. this is the place to go if you've got spare time on a sunny day!

the forbidden forest - - - located to the east of the castle, the forest is - quite obviously - forbidden to all hogwarts students. dense and vast, a wide variety of magical creatures make their homes here.

the black lake - - - about a half-mile in diameter, the lake is home to many strange creatures. while swimming is not recommended, you are welcome to explore its shores.

fifth floor - - - this floor houses the prefects bathrooms! in other words: take your funny business elsewhere. the arithmancy classroom can also be found here.

fourth floor - - - where hogwarts' expansive collection of books is located. remember to keep your voice down.

third floor - - - the charms classroom can be found on the third floor, as well as the armor gallery and trophy room.

ground floor - - - where both the entrance hall and the great hall can be found.

first floor - - - where the muggle studies, defense against the dark arts and history of magic classrooms are located. the hospital wing can also be found here.

second floor - - - the transfiguration classroom is on the second floor, along with a few empty corridors, and an unused girls' toilet. apparently, some sort of ghost lives in it.

hogsmeade - - - the pleasant town of hogsmeade is only a short distance from the castle! take a trip down to honeyduke's to pick up some sweets with your friends, or bring your date to madam puddifoot's for a lovely cup of tea. the three broomsticks is also a popular hangout.

ministry of magic headquarters - - - the main employer of witches and wizards alike, the ministry offers many services. so, whether your neighbour's lawnmower has mysteriously grown fangs, or you've been accused of first-degree murder, you may find yourself here.

st. mungo's - - - are you mad? or otherwise terribly ill? st. mungo's is the place to be!

diagon alley - - - the main drag of england's wizarding community! anything can be bought here, so long as it's more-or-less legal.

knockturn alley - - - where the darker, creepier shops are located. also, where everything too dark and gruesome for diagon alley may be bought.

wizarding residences - - - witches and wizards reside in a variety of places, all across the world!

king's cross station - - - where platform 9¾ is located.

london - - - yes, the well-known, bustling city itself. so, if you fancy a quick mingle with the muggle world, a quick visit to london may be in order.

ooc chat - - - even the geniuses behind the lovely characters need to come out and play, once in a while.

games - - - channel your frustrations through a hearty round of wizard's chess!
