Hey Scott, I am a huge fan of the band. I just picked up the new record and I am really impressed, it's fantastic. I am also anxiously awaiting your next show in Halifax on Nov.12, since I didn't get into your last show with DFA1979 (it was packed!). I did see you guys last year at the Marquee though.
Anyways, the main point of this post was to compliment you on your guitar tone! I am a player myself, who has a love for unique guitar tones, and I must say, that the tone you get both live and on the records is phenomenal. I know you play a Gretsch guitar, and I couldn't quite make out what amp you were playing through at the Marquee last year, but it looked like a Super Reverb maybe? Do you use many effects pedals to achieve that sound? Anyways, just wanted to compliment you on an out of this world guitar tone. I'll try to introduce myself at the show in November. Thanks!
