the troupe

a small group of friends similarly inclined towards the arts, the troupe gathered around john homme - and it is john homme who mediates between the extreme personalities and makes sure that everyone stays on speaking terms with one another. this month, margaret, lisette and percy will mean to audition for professor beery's school pantomime (click for more information), while john works on the set design/building. however, percy will be excluded from performing after margaret insults john and percy retaliates in a very public and humiliating manner.

there is a lot drama involved in this group, but plenty of room for expansion and more ideas! pm john homme or percival pratt for more details

margaret summerby. seventh. hufflepuff.

- - - - will play amata in the upcoming school play
• muggleborn, something she and john (seen below) often commiserate over
• an extremely talented actress and a competent singer
• not as pretty as lisette, or at least does not get the same attention, and is very bitter and jealous and insecure about this
• can be rather insensitive to the feelings of others, and sometimes casually insults others without realizing it
• a bad listener due to her own self-involvement - would rather talk about herself any time
• is at constant odds with pratt, thanks to their huge personalities and respective emotional immaturities
• ladylike - wouldn't dream of getting into a physical fight or a duel, but will be pushed to it this year
• most of the school believes that pratt and summerby are in some kind of love/hate relationship because of their constant and dramatic arguments - however, they do just genuinely dislike each other
• she is possessive of her friends, despite her insensitivity and selfishness, and will therefore defend them to anyone outside the group - they are her people, after all
• a total gossip hound - betty braithwaite of the journalists is her best friend outside the group, and what she considers her protege

• halfblood
• very, very pretty - though not nearly as talented as summerby at acting
• a lot more quiet and reserved than the percy and margaret, and so understands john's disposition best of all of them
• a patron of all the arts rather than just one; she has a highly cultured regard for art, theatre, music and literature
• unlike the others, lisette has a penchant for cunning and scheming - she's highly intelligent and has a tendency towards quiet sarcasm and then failing to explain herself if others don't notice
• a kind, generally good person despite the above point, but one with a strong sense of her own personal morals
• has a small, secretive crush on summerby; she will date summerby's boyfriend in future to try to suppress it
• is of french and english descent, and her rudimentary knowledge of french helped john, percy and her communicate when they were in their early years

• is a heavily accented muggleborn
• a very, very talented artist, but is particularly gifted with oil paint and portraiture
• quiet and shy thanks to his inferiority complex to do with being a muggleborn
• grew up on a sheep farm in a rural area, and is rather unrefined as a result of this upbringing and a lack of money
• has a tendency to people-watch and a good memory for what people tell him. he is, by far, the best listener among the group and the shoulder that either girl would be most likely to cry on
• lost a brother in the war and so relocated from france to london, which he dislikes quite a bit
• is a peacemaker, conflict-avoider, and generally what holds the group together
• being around purebloods makes him nervous and awkward and clumsy - though it is unclear when he is not these things
• is homosexual, but not yet come to terms with this
• is the only one who can really shut percy up, and is also best friends with him

• a ridiculously proud blood traitor - he has a very strong aversion to slytherins.
• a lyrical genius and extremely talented writer.
• not particularly gifted at magic, but not terrible either.
• loyal to a fault and emotionally immature - he can sulk for weeks when he feels wronged.
• speaks almost exclusively in riddles and unconsciously rhymes the things people say to him - the only time he is not ridiculously difficult to talk to is when he is with people pre-established as his friends.
• his huge personality means he is constantly at odds with summerby - he is loud and rather unapologetic in his dislike.
• his best friend is john homme - and he would do anything for him.
