suddenly, a slip of paper spews out of the goblet. everyone gasps in unison as the headmaster grabs the paper and reads it over. but something is wrong. he has not read off a name yet. pain strikes his face. there is silence. he slowly turns to face his fellow professors and looks at them with confusion and fear.

"well read it!" a student shouts somewhat impatiently, notably from durmstrang. the headmaster turns to face the young faces and he reads the note out loud.

"the rules have been changed. this is the new generation of the triwizard tournament. five boys and five girls will be selected from each school to participate in the new level. only one school will win the cup. only one school will be the last to survive. kill your opponents to find victory or surrender to a fate worse than death. good luck to those who are chosen."[/blockquote]
