Hiya everyone!! Soooo where to begin about me. Ahhhhh this is always the hard part!!!!! Hm hm hmmm welllll my name is Emily. I'm 24, a nerd, annnnnd yeah. haha. Well okay I could go on and on about how I'm a nerd but really aren't we all?? Anyway...I'll just do a quick brush over about random stuff about me so you'all can see I'm nuts (but in a good way really). Let's see...last year I lived in England so I could study and complete my MA in medieval history in England. THAT was beyond a blast. I was more excited about traveling around the country then my program. Not gonna lie. hehe. I like to dress up in Star Wars costumes for charities and conventions (yeah I'm one of THOSE people). I love to read and write (although I'm a better reader to a writer), I'm obsessed with Harry Potter, Star Wars, Narnia, Lord of the Rings, anything historical, and hockey. Yes I like hockey too although I'm from Ohio which makes me think my family was misplaced or something because we really do belong in Canada or something. I love collecting books and random objects from my travels (cause I've traveled A LOT) annnnnd I'm sort of obsessed with British royalty. Again I blame living there for a year.

I'm super excited to be here!! This place looks amazing and fun!! I can't wait to meet you'all!!

wow, talk about some shared interests. i am INFATUATED with both star wars and lord of the rings; i can't say my devotion has reached yours, though, as i've never dressed up in any costumes for charities. but i have hosted parties for both of them, in which we had marathon watch throughs like total geeks. LOL. my 9th grade birthday party was a star wars party, and everyone bought me star wars gifts - this is more of a feat than it would seem, because most of my friends at that time had not seen any of the movies at the time (testament to how obvious i made it that i loved the movies). which movie is your favorite out of either series?

also, i find medieval history reallyyy fascinating.

in any case, equally excited to have you on board, and to plot with you! welcome again. (:

hi emily! welcome to chime - i'm cora and i'm so excited that you're here.
i'm doing my ba in english and french at the moment, but my closest friend from school is leaving this friday to do a year of medieval studies in england, so that's a funny coincidence.
sadly i don't know much about lord of the rings or star wars (for which i have already been scolded by lacy), but i do love narnia very much.

HI HI HI!!!

Lacy: YAY!!! ZOMG yeah dressing up is sort of like extremeeeeee but hehehe at least you like Star Wars and LOTR <3. That's all cool! I love marathons of them! The blu rays of Star Wars are making me so excited right now too. As for my favs...yeah I'm an odd ball. I got into Star Wars because of Phantom Menace soooo I'm rather protective of the prequels and that one. And I love the first LOTR too. I think I just like the first part of the story in general. haha.

Cora: Ohhh English and French. When I was in England I actually really wished I could have been studying English Lit instead...because it was just like XO all around. I forgot to mention I'm obsessed with Jane Austen and the lot. I loved going to Oxford and Bath and all that and just yeah. And I spent a week in Paris....it was amazing!! <3 And that is funny! And awwwww....at least you love Narnia!!

ahaha, no judgment here - but only because phantom menace was legitimately the first star wars movie i had ever seen. actually, the only prequel i don't like is the second - i found the third really well done, actually. and my favorite lotr is the first one as well! i think the movie was really well-directed and well-crafted, and every moment of screen-time was used effectively. also, no place like the shire.

i do love narnia! and i loved the hobbit as a kid. my dad tried to read me lord of the rings, but i was distraught when gandalf died, even when everyone told me he came back to life. so i never finished it. :/ i did see the movies, but i was hiding under a blanket for most of it because i was so frightened. LOL i do keep meaning to watch them again.
your trip sounds wonderful! you're very lucky.

Hehehe...my brother is a super nerd too so I remember seeing the first three movies on TV when I was younger and going to the movies for the re-releases in 97 or something but it was Phantom Menace that got me hooked. I think it was Ewan McGregor. XD And yeahhh the second was okay but the third was fantastic. I just love them all. And I know right!! Even though my favorite character from LOTR is Eowyn I just love all the places they go to (including the shire!) in the first movie.

And truth be told...I read all but the last narnia books!! But I still LOVE the series. I know what happens...that's why I refuse to read the last book. I like Susan too much!! I actually didn't know about LOTR until the movies....so I got the books right after the first movie came out and read them and I was just in love! But awwwww. I didn't like reading that part either!! And thank you...they were wonderful...I miss them sooooo much. <3

hi emily, i'm ali! welcome to chime!
another star wars, lotr and narnia nut over here. i spent my childhood watching star wars films with my dad, so there was no escaping that. and my love for lotr is the reason i picked two of my units this semester - i got/get to study the lotr series in one and the hobbit in another. soooo stoked about that. i'm actually getting a lotr based tattoo as soon as i stop being perpetually broke for long enough to find an artist i like. i can't wait jkdfsgdfs.
