TWO MONTHS

We're almost at two months now, CHIMERA! Thanks to all of you, as always, for making it possible! So many awesome subplots going on, as well as dozens of active threads - nearly 5,000 posts total isn't shabby either, for a forum less than sixty days old! Here are some updates.

Staff

We're going to forgo the semi-anonymous staff concept that we initially had going on. It was fun (and perhaps more casual), but sometimes inefficient, since guests and newcomers did not always know who to contact with their issues. Additionally, since the identities was clear to anyone who stuck around, the mechanism also became largely pointless for a majority of the forum anyway.

So without further ado, in case there is still some confusion:

Colonel Mustard - lacy

Miss Scarlett - robert

We've also had two new staff members join us recently! Cora and Emmy have graciously offered to help us with some aspects of the site. Cora will be Misses Peacock, and Emmy we're waiting on to hear back. Congratulations to them both.

As always, feel free to contact any of us with questions! The sidebar will eventually be updated to reflect the identities of the staff.

What's going on?

1. This month's ACTIVITY CHECK is going on right now! Be sure to check in with us before the end of the month (only two days left!) if you'd like to stick around.

2. The poll for the April spotlights is almost over! It too closes at the end of the month, so get voting here if you haven't already!

3. Preparation for the second site social are now underway! Go indicate your availability for another fun Apples to Apples game. You receive 10 house points for doing so, not to mention a better acquaintance with fellow Chimers. Oh, and did I mention we'll be using a customized list this time?

4. Do you need more threads or plotting? Would you love to have your character thrown into a random situation, with people they'd normally never interact with? Check out the GRAB A PLOT thread and use it to your advantage!

5. The Slug Club dinner has kicked off with dramatics already! The pranks haven't even begun yet, and resentment is festering in the room. If your character hasn't joined yet, why not throw them into the event? More information (along with a timeline) can be found here.

6. Speaking of awesome site events, have you stopped by GOBSTONES yet? The gobstones plotting page has more information on why you should.

7. The first school newspaper edition of the year is soon to be published! Want to be included? Why not asking Zamira for advice or drop Betty some rumors?

8. The first game of mafia has kicked off! If you've missed this round's signups, don't worry! We will be having another game immediately afterward, and this one will be in-character and therefore tons of fun. Keep an eye out!

9. New layout! That's right, we're going to switch it up soon. So be on your toes and be excited, etc.
