P R A N K S T E R S

Everyone knows the type. The class clowns, the trouble-makers, the ones who make so many wisecracks that they start getting away with a few. Well, the PRANKSTERS are the worst and best of the kind. Regardless of who becomes the object of their mischief, they are out to have fun and leave with a reputation - and they're having no trouble doing that. Whether it's taking over the school newspaper for a day or penning fake love letters to snobby purebloods, they are happy to gain notoriety and laughs.

CARACTACUS "CACTUS" PHELPS, gryffindor
Loud, boisterous, and explosive—quite literally, as the workers at the Daily Prophet will one day discover—Caractacus thrives off fun and attention. One who lives for the moment, he rarely considers the consequences of his antics. In fact, it seems he barely acknowledges the people that get caught in the crossfire; that is, unless, it’s a pretty girl. Petty, vengeful, and prone to intense, sudden mood-swings, Caractacus has a bit of maturing to do, but his friends wouldn’t get their hopes up. There is another request for him right here.
EDWIN "ZONKS" ZONKO, ravenclaw
The prankster group is more of a loose anarcho-democracy than anything, but in terms of the plotting and planning behind the schemes, Zonks would be the mastermind. An expert at his trade, he comes up with plenty of ideas to keep the Hogwarts population on their toes; with his wit and good judgment, it's no surprise he goes on to open up one of the most notorious joke shops in London. Secretly bookish and a lover of wordplay/language, he is the origin of many a terrible nicknames that populate the school.
DERWENT "SHRIMP" SHIMPLING, hufflepuff
He will eventually be renowned as the comedian with an outrageous sense of humor and a pleasant lavender tinge to his cheeks. For now, though, he is known as Shrimp, the eager-to-please mediator who is nonetheless just as daring in his efforts to make people laugh… and calm them down. While he dislikes conflict and could be considered the most "moral" of the group, he’s recklessly nonchalant about the kind of risks he’ll take to get a laugh. Despite this, or maybe because of this, people like to be around him, and he likes to be around people. A smoker and a music-lover.
WILLIAM "HONEST WILLY" WAGSTAFF, slytherin
Willy fits right into the "genius slacker" archetype in that he is genuinely very intelligent, but will never put in an honest effort. He is obsessed with outwitting the rules and one-upping authorities, and for a good reason; in later years, the world will see him employ these skills as a professional con artist. Known as a smooth talker and quick charmer, he hardly ever hesitates to put those attributes to good use if it's to his advantage. His actions border on ill-natured, perhaps most of all out of the group, but they usually stop short of bodily harm.
