Contrary to what she may think, Reggie is a rather pretty girl. While she probably would not stand out amongst a group of supermodels, she can quite honestly hold her own amongst a group of average young women. Standing at 5’8” and possessing a medium-sized build with a few rapidly emerging curves and other such womanly assets, she paints the picture of a girl who has begun making the transition into womanhood. Her facial features can be described as distinctively eastern European in origin, what with her wavy dirty blonde tresses that filter down to her shoulders, oval-shaped pale blue irises, and strong pointed chin. On the rare occasions that someone is able to elicit a smile a relatively dazzling set of pearly whites (save one slightly crooked bottom tooth) are visible, and her cheeks tend to dimple a little which gives her a slightly impish look. As it stands her face is usually fixed into an expression of severe indifference to whatever is going on around her or sometimes even a scowl when she is particularly annoyed (which is quite often needless to say).

“That surly Gryffindor girl.” Pretty much sums things up perfectly. She's not particularly social to begin with, and is quick to roll her eyes for the slighted trangression. Likes to keep to herself, and won't really speak unless spoken to most of the time. It's hard to crack the shell she's built around herself, and while she won't hex someone for being a git, she certainly won't make things pleasant for them.

If there was burning building and the world looked to Reggie to save people, there would be much disappointment. Intensely private and more than a little self-involved, Reggie prefers to keep her nose out of the business of others and matters that do not concern her. She won't pretend to care about the problems (especially if those problems ultimately are self-made) of others out of kindness and common courtesy since she pretty much believes that her own problems take priority over all else. This may make her seem cold in the eyes of most people, though in all truthfulness it stems from her inability to relate to others. She finds it to be incredibly awkward to even attempt; not to mention the amount of effort it would take. By brushing them off she saves herself the trouble of trying to find the appropriate combination of words that will bring them closure.

Despite all this, however, Reggie does possess a slightly hidden moral compass. She knows what is right and what is wrong. And though her outlook is regularly gloomy, she does believe in "the greater good" to some extent. While this does not translate into the belief that the "good guys" will always win, you can bet she'll maintain her faith in them until the very end. Furthermore, she is quite capable of compassion to a certain degree. This mostly applies to subjects (and at times people) she feels strongly about. She'll neither back down nor change the way she feels in the face of direct opposition. She could care less what the majority thinks since her mind is already made up. And once she's made her mind up about something, good luck trying to convince her otherwise.

She is also prone to falling into "ruts". There are periods of time where she inexplicably finds herself on "auto-pilot", moving about dispassionately with little direction. Eventually she'll manage to pull herself up out of this routine for awhile before falling right back into it. The cycle is ongoing, and each time she finds it harder to break free of it. But whatever it is, she does not feel comfortable talking about it. She keeps it to herself out of fear of her "dirty laundry" being on display for others to see. In the end she finds it's much easier for her to handle on her own terms.

Reggie, like most of the world, has a list of wants and desires she'd like to obtain during her lifetime. However, she is her own worst enemy when it comes to these wants and desires; a self-defeating attitude of sorts. These doubts ultimately put her at a standstill with no idea as to what direction or course of action she should take. It understandably both scares and frustrates her to be so indecisive, but until she decides to stop twiddling her thumbs she's pretty much stuck. Additionally there is a degree of laziness about her. She is quite comfortable sleeping the day away in bed on weekends instead of doing something productive. Overall she simply does not do more than what is expected of her.

Last but not least when it comes to the subject of anger Reggie is very much like a sleeping bear; poke her enough times and she will retaliate. In fact, one may not even realize that she is getting irritated since she is able to mask it so well, and unfortunately will not find out until they have a very irate Reggie all in their face. On the bright side however her anger doesn’t last for long and tends to fade away quickly.

Regina Lynn Grayson was born on a rainy April night to George and Kathy Grayson in Blackpool, England. Throughout the pregnancy her parents worried about their ability to support both themselves and their newborn child. George worked full-time as a laborer, his salary being just enough to get them by. Kathy had worked as a secretary but due to complications involving her overbearing boss had to quit. Despite their financial difficulties, the couple took to their parenting duties swiftly. Regina, or “Reggie” as she was nicknamed, was by no means starved for attention. She was doted upon by her parents and, when they visited, both sets of her grandparents. By the time she reached the age of seven, however, she began to develop a persona that in the words of her retired army vet grandfather made her, for lack of a better term, “a bit of a smartarse”. Swearing quickly became part of her vocabulary, much to her mother’s horror, and it wasn’t unusual for her to talk back when being disciplined. Her father believed it to be some kind of phase that she’d eventually grow out of. He just didn’t know how much trouble it would lead to in the coming years.

Parent-teacher conferences started to become a commonplace for the Graysons, usually brought on by Reggie’s outright refusal to do what was requested of her in class. Repeated attempts to break her from this behavior were met with extreme defiance, and it was becoming apparent that Reggie was going to be quite difficult. It was also around this time that Kathy found out that she was once again pregnant. The same feelings of worry returned, but like before the couple stuck it out, and nine months later welcomed their second daughter, Heather Elise. Reggie was ecstatic about having a baby sister. For exactly one month. The constant crying and the amount of attention the new baby required soon began to annoy her. Why did it have to cry so much and wake up everyone? Why couldn’t it just be quiet? Each time she asked her parents these questions they’d just tell her it was what babies did. With that in mind she swore to never have any babies of her own.

As if her uppity disposition wasn’t enough to deal with, her parents soon had to contend with the weird happenings that began to occur around their oldest daughter. Objects around the house rearranged themselves when no one was looking, particularly when Reggie was left alone in the room. When asked about it however she would merely shrug and insist that she had no inkling of the phenomena. Her parents naturally thought she was doing it as a means of acting out. And… well, they were right. Reggie was behind it all. However, how she was able to move the objects (some of them extremely heavy in fact) in such a short amount of time was unknown. That is, until the day a Hogwarts official showed up with the explanation that the young girl was simply a witch in dire need of proper training. The Graysons sat in awe long afterward, Reggie slowly reading over the letter of acceptance she had been handed by the official. It seemed unreal; like someone was playing a joke on her. But all it took was a small demonstration of magic by the official to convince Reggie and her family that this was the real deal. Before her parents could really discuss the matter Reggie had already made up her mind to attend Hogwarts. Luckily, her father backed her decision, and with a little goading her mother came around also.

Her supplies soon purchased and her trunk packed to the brim, she made the journey to King’s Cross where her teary eyed mother, beaming father, and ever curious little sister saw her off. The ride to Hogwarts was fairly uneventful since she did not interact with anyone (as was her nature). Upon her arrival and participation in the sorting ceremony she found herself placed into Gryffindor, which she deemed to be a pretty alright fit. As long as she could blend into the background things would be just fine. And blend in is just what she did. Other than getting turned around a few times due to the size and magical properties of the castle she fared well enough. Her best subjects turned out to be Charms and Potions, while History of Magic and Transfiguration proved to be her weakest areas. Surprisingly, she took to flying with an extreme amount of ease and soon grew to love the feel of the wind in her hair as she soared through the sky.

It was going into her fourth year that she and her parents learned that little Heather Elise was also magically inclined. The young girl was excited to follow in her big sister’s footsteps, and even though Reggie didn’t outwardly show it she was quite happy about the event herself. She even silently hoped that the newfound witch would end up in Gryffindor. However, the Sorting Hat had other plans in mind and ultimately placed Heather Elise into Hufflepuff. Still, at least she was at Hogwarts with family now, and in the end that was all that mattered.

Now in her fifth year Reggie is still the same old person she’s always been for the most part. Between studying for her O.W.L.s and looking after her baby sister she certainly has her plate nearly full enough.
