Archibald is certainly no imposing figure. He's rapidly growing tall, currently standing about 5ft 8 inches, lanky looking as a result of growth spurts. His skin is pale, regardless of the amount of time spent outdoors, and whenever he does get another color, it's always reddish instead of a golden tone. His hair is kept short, combed in place, although it tends to get unruly more often than not, dirty blonde in colour. <BR><BR>
His face is still round, having yet to develop into a more mature looking bone structure, and he hardly manages to look older than 15. His eyes are hazel coloured, and have a warmth to him that add on to giving him a kind air. His style of dress is very much standard for the time when not in uniform, and by the way he stands or moves it's easy to tell he was corrected way too much on his posture as a child, and how easily nervous he gets when exposed to large groups of people.

The Bones family as a whole has always been regarded as a traditionally Hufflepuff family, known to produce a series of remarkable witches and wizards. They fell from grace when Archie's father sought out a willing marriage with a halfblood instead of a traditionally arranged marriage, and have been known to lost many of it's fortune during the great depression.<BR><BR>
Archie's particular reputation is to be a quiet, awkward boy who is always willing to help when requested, hardly agressive and who barely takes any offense when bullied, prefering to shy away from conflict instead. A very competent wizard, the few people who have really pushed him far enough to make him angry, can attest why the Bones Family has a reputation for producing formidable wizards.

When you take a good look at Archie, it's obvious why the Sotring Hat chose Hufflepuff for him. Archie is a hardworking person, who knows he has to put effort into getting the things he wants, and he doesn't shy away from it. There is of course a component of talent to his magic, but his added constant hardwork clearly pays off every time Archie uses his wand. He is quite modest about his abilities, not out of false social conventions, but because he truly believes there are people far more competent and talented than him. He hardly lets things go to his head, having the ability to remain grounded and logical under fairly all circumstances. This good head Archie has also come in handy on countless oportunities. <BR><BR>
Archie is a really patient individual, and hardly ever takes offenses. Of course, this meant that he made up for a fairly easy bullying target in his younger years, as Archie liked to believe in the resolution of things through arguing than through conflict. Eventually though, bullies tend to get bored with this attitude and he's eventually left to himself. Of course, he never really enjoys peace for long, because he does tend to try and stand up for the younger students, in his ever collected and patient way. Needless to say, Archie doesn't make a good savior. The only oportunities when anyone has ever seen Archibald Bones angry is whenever his siblings have been subjected to bullying. His rage is hardly evoked, but so intense and unexpected it takes everyone by surprise. He may not be physically strong, but he's a talented wizard and he'll put his magic to use if he's truly angry. <BR><BR>
Generally, Archie is a very kind person. He's always giving help to anyone who might need it, which makes him a very good friend to have. Despite of this, Archie tends to get a bit ancious in large crowds, often tripping over his words and rambling, particularly if he feels threatened. The Hufflepuff is undoubtfully still awkward, and has never been part of any popular circles whatsoever. Although righteous and a good intentioned person, he's prone to manipulation from time to time. Where romance is involved, Archie tends to be painfully oblivious and awkward to female attention, reacting by acting clumsily, rambling and generally making a fool of himself.

The Bones family is certainly one of the oldest and most notorious wizarding families, generally known to produce remarkable witch and warlocks for centuries. Basil Bones had everything going for him when he met Astrid Carrington. He was a young pureblood and a Ministry promise, easygoing and generally well liked among his coworkers, and she was a healer traineé, hardworking and very clever. It was pure chance they met, Basil having beem bit by an unruly Doxy that somehow had managed to sneak into his office and bite him, went to St Mungo's and there he met the lovely healer. Basil boldly asked Astrid out for tea and the rest is history.

When he asked Astrid to marry him, it was a small scandal in pureblood society. Not only was Basil
willingly proposing to someone instead of an appropriate arranged marriage, but Astrid Carrington was a
halfblood (Merlin, barely above animals!). Thankfully for the young couple, the Bones family had always been known for displaying a benevolent nature, and so Basil Bones and Astrid Carrington were married in a lovely summer ceremony. The newly formed family grew up rather quickly, and soon the Bones's family home was filled with the sound of baby wails and laughter. When Archibald Edgar Bones was born in a chilly november morning, he became the fourth addition to the family, already with an older brother and two older sisters.

Despite what you may think, Archie was a fussy baby, determined to gat attention in a house full of children. He displayed magic from an early age, although in unusual fashions, such as charming hair into Astrid's shoes or transfiguring teacups into sneakers. Soon enough, he became his older sisters paydoll, often forced into teaparties are even dresses and makeup (much to Astrid's horror), and Archie had to develop sneaking habits to escape the torture that could be having bored sisters. <BR><BR>
The end of the 20s decade was tragic for the Bones family. Somehow, the muggle economic crisis began affecting the wizarding world, and the Bones saw most of their ancient money fade away. Still clinging to family tradition, Basil refused to leave the family ancestral home, but Archie didn't fail to notice how life became more frugal for the Bones.
His clothes and most of his toys had once belonged to his older brother, and Astrid had to take back her job as Healer, while Basil continued rising through Ministry ranks.

The Bones children didn't take it too hard particularly, too young to comprehend what financial distress meant. Archie's only complaint was that he missed his mother, but the stories offered by his grandparents and the fun he had playing with his siblings were of great help to keep his mind off that fact. As years passed and his siblings began being sent off to Hogwarts, Archie couldn't help but be curious about the school, and would carefully listen to any stories his grandparents had to offer about the place. Finally, with his own eleven birthday came, Archie was excited to get his own Hogwarts letter.<BR><BR>
Upon a careful examination of the Bones family tree, it was obvious that Hufflepuff was the predominant house. And indeed, upon placing the Sorting Hat above his head, it was to that house where he was immediately sorted into. Archie was quite happy with his new house. He had a hard time adapting to a House full of rampant, boisterous and energetic people, particularly when there were personality clashes. Archie tried his best to mediate conflicts, but with poor results. If anything, he would more often than not become the target of teasings, but Archie hardly got offended, and eventually bullies just got tired of never getting a rise out of the Hufflepuff.<BR><BR>
Academically, Archie's hardworking nature has showed in countless ocassions, often regarded as a very competent student in mostly all subjects. He doesn't think too much of it, though, and is only currently focusing on his O.W.L.S and trying his best to stay away from all the trouble brewing in Hufflepuff. Of course, it should be mentioned that over the summer, Basil Bones was appointed senior undersecretary to the Wizengamot, years of hard work paying off. This was a great source of pride for Archie afn his siblings, and only further motivation to give his best in school.
