Introduction
Welcome to cemetery&SUNDOWN. This is a forum-post roleplaying board, rated [R] because of the graphical violence and sexual content it has. It takes place in 2024 and Hogwarts School of Whichcraft and Wizardry.
Getting Started - Registration with nicknames like bradfan0991 is not allowed and will be deleted at the moment it is seen by a staff.
- You must register with a first and last name of the character you will be playing. If you will be registering a a canon character and already registered, but not accepted yet, please register as first name_last name. After your approval, an admin will change your name to what it supposed to be instead.
- We allow gay, bi and lesbian preferences, but they are limited. No more than 5 people can apply for the same sexual preference. In the future, I can maybe expand this limit, but for now, you must get over with it.
- Since we are also people like you, we might forget to update the canon list. So if you see a canon registered but not marked in the list, that doesn't mean it is taken. Check the member list and the accepted files if you want to be sure that the canon you want is taken or not. In any case, we try our best to update the canon list very often.
- Gary Stu's and Mary Sue's will be declined after the first warning. Sorry but having this kind of character shows what kind of a roleplayer you are and no one likes perfectionists who act like they're the best all the time. Just avoid that, flaws in personality and appearance is a must!
- I am changing this rule, yup there is no limit of the characters you can have. You can have as many characters as you like, just be sure to follow this new rule posted.
- You can post in the avatar claims after you are accepted. Before, you are not allowed to. There are no reservations on avatar claims from now on. Myspace people are allowed in this board, but not dolls/artwork and any other cartoon drawings. You must use a model or a celebrity. Personal pictures are also not allowed.
- Sometimes the people from Myspace can look like they have tooken themselves, I am not allowing you to use that kind of pics. The pictures must be professional, so that they won't look like personal photos.
- Unfinished applications are okay but when you are finished with them, bump the thread. We don't have a sixth sense now, do we? Post them directly in the unfinsihed applications forum. You have to get accepted in three days otherwise your character will be deleted and if it's canon, it'll be up for grabs.
Roleplaying & PMing
- We are not allowing really beginner roleplayers. That doesn't mean deleting them in second when they posted an application. Although you are new to roleplaying, you must fill some effort requirements to be accepted in this board. When you roleplay with someone, show them the respect they deserved with your posts. I see some threads that one person wrote well detailed and lengthy and other replies in six sentences. You leave nothing to write about to the person you roleplay with, plus it is rude to get back to him/her like that. I will warn the one liners.
- There are some specific roleplaying rules that you must follow. Most of them are well known by a lot of roleplayers, but for the beginners, I am just reviewing them a bit.
- Your text must be in third person.
- Put the sentence that your character says between ",".
- Do not put *,* those at the beginning and the end of your posts.
- If you want to say something in OOC, use paranthesis at the bottom or the beginning of your post.
- Drama is okay, but if you exaggerate it, you'll be warned again. Ah, bad me. I don't want everyone to get pregnant, or cut themselves. If you plan something like that just discuss it with an admin and get it approved. Death and killing is in the godmoding category so this is serious and you again need to talk to an admin about it.
- You must understand and respect the tag system. If a topic is tagged for a character, or group of characters that does not include you, you cannot post there. Likewise, if you wish to role-play with a specific character or group of characters, tag it for them by putting their name(s) in the topic description.
- Swearing and sexual conversations are allowed, but if you go too over it and reach it to the edge of pornography, I will smack your head down. You will be warned, so keep it at the balance.
- Double posting will be considered as spam. Edit your previous post if you need to add something.
- There's a special forum called the Wanted, where you can request someone to roleplay with you. If you want someone special, put their names under your thread's description and wait for them to reply. Don't PM everyone and disturb them to roleplay with you, unless asking for plotting.
- Do not PM an admin everytime you see a mistake or suggest something. This is what the Support forum does. Post it there, so any admin can help you. Only PM an admin when you have a personal issue.
Board Staff & Administration
- We may behave and sound tough sometimes, but it never means we are bad. Please, keep that in mind. We are also people like you. Everyone knows the difference between what is rude or what is not. If you break the rules, that's the time I will become a devil to you.
- Don't PM to the admins to work in the board. We will put the auditions when we need someone to work with us, therefore you can apply by that. If we think of someone special, we will PM and ask him/her politely. You always have the right to say no, don't forget.
- Don't miss to read anything posted in the announcements forum. Every thread admins post in the news part of the forum is important. If you are new, try to have a look at the previous threads to get an idea about what is upcoming.
- Reading rules just for the special phrase is logical but wrong. No, I don't agree with you. Oh la la = jeepers creepers. Not all the rules in all the boards are the same. Every board has special rules for its own, so please read them. It won't take long, just 5 minutes. Isn't it a shorter time than an admin gets fuzzy about you all the time?
Advertisments
- Advertising is okay, but there's one rule. If you advertise your site, advertise us too or be sure to have an advertisment part in your board allowing guests to post, so we can also advertise. Read the guidlines before posting an advertisment, the ad will be deleted if you don't follow the guidelines.
- No Proboards please. I cannot post our ad to proboards, it takes time and effort so please do not advertise proboards in our site. I appericiate if you don't.
- Double Posting in the advertising forum is not allowed! You cannot advertise the same site twice or more.That will be assumed as a spam. Also do not advertise in the cbox, your IP will be banned.
Graphics
- All the graphics in this board are copyrighted to their makers, do not steal an icon or a graphic from the site. If you like one, take it but credit back to the maker. I saw so many people using my icons on various sites without crediting, I will kill you for that, really.
- Posting the appearence representing images in your roleplay threads are allowed; but no offensive/mature images! We are a R rated board, true but don't go over the top. Give out a link if you post images, do not directly put them in the threads.
- Avatars must be 100x100, no bigger or smaller. Signatures must be ne bigger than 500x200. You can have maximum 6 icons in your signature. Puting both sigs and icons in the signature is allowed, but if it gets too big, I will send you a polite PM.
- Use the request form in the graphics shop if you want to request graphics for your character. You can only request for this site, not any other. Also If you request in here and I catch you up requesting in PC or any other graphics forum too, I will ban you from the board. That's incredibly rude, and you waste more than one artist's time.
- You must give credit to the maker if you use someone else's work. This includes the icons you searched and found from Livejournal to the plot template you use. If I realize that you didn't give credit, you'll be warned. You have to include any credit in your signature.
