I was thinking this board should have a new banner. The current one shows rather boxy buildings, and doesn't look too, err, colorful.

This night-shot of the world's most capitalist territory, Hong Kong, would be ideal. We would just need to downsize it and cut the uncessary bits out.

Neat. I'll bet Dreaver can clean that up and add the necessary text. How about a quote contest to see what quote we'll add to it? I like Ludwig Von Mises, but I know there are better ones out there...

There probably are, and it would be helpful for the everyday Joe Normal if it was simple, and provided an introduction to capitalism. And if I may, I would like to create my own quotes:

"As we have seen over the past 200 years, man can do amazing thing beyond his own boundaries. Capitalism is the only system that provides him an incentive to do so, whether it be greed, envy, or selfishness."

"Over the past two centuries, would've man tried to better his life if it weren't profitable?"

"If capitalism is the evil system of exploitation and slavery, why is it that man lives so much better now than he did 200 years ago?"

So as you can see, most of them relate to the past 200 years, when capitalism evolved.

Nice, but I was thinking of parsing The Capitalist Manifesto, or perhaps something from Capitalism: The Unknown Ideal.

Yeah, Ayn Rand has plenty of quotes to go around.

Save it as favicon.ico and place it in the root folder of the website. Might take a little while to change.

Okay, then, if there are no objections, then I'll be throwing up the new banner soon...

Ooh, really nice work there. Love the pic of Hong Kong, very similar to one I took when I was living there!

I would have gladly done it had I been around a couple of months ago. Been very busy with my university work as of late I'm afraid.
