the D A I L Y P R O P H E T— Clipping from May 14th, 1976.In an unprecedented move by the Ministry, several stellar students from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry will be awarded prestigous internships with several departments, including the Department of Magical Law Enforcement, the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures, and the Department of International Magical Cooperation.
These students have set themselves apart with their excellent leadership skills, their superb achievement in schooling, as well as their magical abilities.
The Minister, in a quick statement made outside of his office, said on the matter, "We are very proud to include these students in the Magical government, and we are quite pleased to be training the next batch of Ministry officials and leaders in the Magical community."
There has been much speculation as to the cause for such positions to open up, as traditionally, the Ministry does not accept employees under the age of seventeen, and especially not in such coveted departments.
A Ministry spokesperson said this: "Although the Ministry has gained the upper hand against You-Know-Who, we believe that training and utilising the next generation is crucial to ensuring the Wizarding communities survival. By preparing the youth we are preparing ourselves for success."
This cryptic statement has caused much confusion among parents, including several protests.
"Students should not be invovled in governmental affairs, even if in only a 'internship' position. These 'internships' put their lives at risk!" One parent, who wished to remain anonymous, exclaimed.
Headmaster Albus Dumbledore will be making the decision, according to the Ministry, as he "knows his students best". The students can expect the nominations within a few days.
