You can post your profile, which has your history, physical and personality descriptions, character statistics (height, weights, etc). and all that stuff. This is recommended because it helps people understad what kind of character you RP, and also makes people want to RP with your cuz they know where they can find any information they need about your character before the post. Otherwise, they're just shooting in the dark.

Posting in the cast-list is recommended. This is where you can say that the person you use for your avatar is Johnny Depp (for example). If you don't, and someone else uses him, I have no way of knowing who used him first. My first response, when the two of you realize your mistake, and one of you has to give the siggy up, is to check the cast-list. If I see that one person has posted their cast list and the other hasn't, I give the casting to the person who DID, even if the other person had it first.

I have no way of knowing.

A third thing that I almost demand of you is that you introduce yourself! Make yourself known so people will RP with you. Sooner or later, you'll have to communicate with us, so you might as well do it now! It can be as simple as posting in the OOC Chat board, "Hi, I'm new and I hope to RP with you guys soon!" Or, you could PM people you see are online and tell them you're new. People like me would see that and probably RP with you because you had the courage (or nerve) to come up to me and say hello first. That's sort of gutsy, so I commend you on that.

Finally, RP! This is sort of a given, because if you joined, you probably did so with the sheer prospect of RPing with us, or improving. Just remember, if you're a beginner, say that in your post so we know to help you out a bit. No one will say anything to you about being a beginner.

NOTE: If someone mocks you for being a newbie or a bad RPer, bring that person to my attention. In my opinion, bad RPers are the ones who don't write good (that's fixable through the E-Z RPer Process), but they are the ones who slander others for their amusement.
