I'm not sure if her universe setting is more steampunk or more Medieval fantasy. In general, fairy tales are from the Medieval era - but, on the other hand, her non-BTTF characters (Victor and Alice) are both from the Victorian era.

I know she's no stranger to character fusions, since that is the basis for her Marty in Wonderland Universe (both of them).

I wonder if she plans to throw in Girl Genius, as well. She probably won't be including Marvel Comics, since mutants would be out place in that kind of setting.

I did a little more research, and it looks like she does plan to introduce characters from Girl Genius and Narbonic. I'm not as familiar with Narbonic, since my familiarity with the world is limited to the few drabbles that she wrote and a portion of When Worlds Collide. I do have some clue about the Girl Genius Universe, even though it's probably mostly the alternate universe aspect that enthralls me.

Well, I'm certainly looking forward to reading more. It doesn't look like Marvel will be included - but she hasn't really discussed the franchise that much, lately. I did watch Corpse Bride, and I also read both Alice books - so I'm quite familiar with both characters. I'm not as familiar with American McGee's Alice - but I know it's, essentially, a darker version of Alice in Wonderland.

Flaming Trails' The Tale Universe reminds me so much of her Boy Genius Universe. About the only major difference is that Doc Brown is still an older man, instead of a teenager. In both universes, Biff Tannen is still a teenager - and, in The Tale Universe, Buford is Biff's father. I think it's a cool touch. I do find it interesting how, in both universes, George McFly grew to become a confident man - even without Marty to go back in time and teach him confidence. Then again, in both universes, Biff Tannen was not the same age as him.

I think your Plutonium Universe is quite interesting, EmmettMcFly55 - even if it did come as a little surprise to me. I'm guessing that it's probably about as fantastical as you'll ever get, though. Well, at least the future Marlene McFly and Suzy MacArthur will be safe in that universe.

Once NaNoWriMo is over, do you think we should each do a fic where Susy MacArthur and Stephanie Stebbs makes a cameo in each other's universe? Of course, that would take place after the events of The Great Chase. I'll have to figure out which universe mine would take place in, since the Trilogy and Haven Universes are kind of out of the question.

BTW, what did you think of the new ficlets that I uploaded to FFN?

Okay, I looked up Narbonic on Wikipedia - and it appears that the core cast of four are somewhat villainous. I'm unsure of how much so, exactly. So, yeah, I wonder how it's gonna work out - when Flaming Trails gets to that portion of The Tale.

I thought Marty of The Tale was kind of a real jerk - when he had the attitude of, "How dare you think, even for a second, that I would be like Jill Wooster?" Gee, way to blow everything out of proportion - and, not to mention, having a lack of sympathy and understanding for someone who had already been burnt once. It's good that he did finally come to a sort of understanding, though.

I also have another idea for an alternate universe, if we're now considering universes where people may be biologically different. How about a world where people don't ever cry? They still have tear ducts, but they're used strictly for keeping eyes moist.

Oh, and while we're on that - I have an idea that was inspired by Flaming Trails The Tale Universe. This would be a world where people don't experience fear. As an added twist, this world has a rift (similar to the livejournal RPG) where people are dragged in from other worlds. A terrorist group who hates "rifters" can spot who's a rifter by their ability to feel fear, and use it against them.

To add the cherry to the sundae, one of the rifters happens to be another Marty who experiences no fear - but he came from a world where he was viewed as a "freak" for his lack of fear, and is happy to end up in a world where he feels like he belongs. He gets along well with his counterpart (who, of course, also knows no fear) and Doc - even though he does miss his family back home.

How's that sound?

Cool, and thanks! smile.gif

Although, on the other hand, would terrorism even exist in a world of no fear? I suppose other negative emotions (such as jealousy) would still exist.

It would cool to maybe expound in this world, especially if it is another world where Marty gains a twin. Alternate Marty would come from a normal modern world, but just happens to lack fear. While a part of him misses his home world, he's also pleased to land in a world where he's no longer such a "freak".

How about a world where every movie and TV show that Michael J. Fox has done all co-exist with each other?

I actually thought of that, before - but there are still some movies and TV shows that I haven't yet seen. I know someone did start a fic on such a universe, a long time ago - but it was left incomplete, and she didn't even get as far as including Marty.

Getting back to the No Fear Universe, maybe Alex P Keaton would be another rifter - and he comes from a universe different from the one Trilogy Universe Marty met. This one does have a problem with fear, and feels quite inadequate in the No Fear Universe. This one maybe falls through the rift after Season Four - and, thus, eliminating the whole "Andy problem".

I'm not sure, yet, if they would come from various time periods - or if they would all come from the same time.

Do you guys think there might be more violence in a World of No Tears? After all, if people can't release their grief through tears - then they'd probably be more likely to turn to anger as a release.

Another idea I have is a World of No Pain. Essentially, it's a world where people don't have the ability to feel pain - which, I guess, would also extend of not being able to feel tickling. At first, this sounds like it would be a great idea - but, in that sort of world, people would probably be more injury prone. I mean, when you think about it, pain is generally a warning sign that something is harmful or dangerous - or just isn't right.

What do you think?

Well, Flaming Trails has got three new chapters uploaded - and I'm so glad that Jennifer has now finally been introduced.

I know she has suggested, at one, doing a Futurified version of Sleeping Beauty - but, since she's pretty much covering that in The Tale, I don't quite foresee her doing a second one. In either case, she has made it clear that Jennifer would be the Sleeping Beauty - and not Marty. I guess Jennifer has done a lot of sleeping in the sequels.

I am looking forward to seeing what Cinder-Marty is like, and I know she has also inserted Alice and Victor into that universe.

It looks like she is still planning to do a fully-Futurified version of Sleeping Beauty. I wonder what that one will be like.

BTW, Doc fills in the role of the protagonist from The Enchanted Watch. I think it's neat how everything seems to fit in so perfectly, so far.
