THE RULESr.e.s.p.e.c.t:Find out what it means to me! I'd like to think that respect is the easiest and most common sense-oriented rule ever. So just because your character is a bloodthirsty jerk of a man doesn't mean you have to be. When out of character, treat everyone nice all the time, no matter what. And if you have issue? Talk to me about it, don't start something with each other. End of story, capiche? what we want:We're always going to be accepting canon and original characters. Because I don't believe anyone's creativity should be limited because an administrator has one idea of what site perfection is. But we won't be accepting ALL pirates, and we won't be accepting ALL females, so keep a nice balance. I keep originals open FOR your creativity. SO USE IT. do not post ic:- until your character has been accepted
- until you have posted in the face claim
posting:I am not a Nazi admin. I don't care if you post one paragraph or 20. But post enough so that your fellow RPers have something to reply to, and do not post only one line. No matter how magical you are, there is no way you can post enough detail to get a good response in only one line. When you start out with your character, sometimes it's difficult to get out huge pieces of literature regarding their walking into a pub, so don't worry about it. But as you become more comfortable, I'd like to see more depth and insight. Helps develop your character and our understanding of him or her. I will not be monitoring this per se. But if I am RPing with you, or if someone else is RPing with you and it is not satisfactory or it becomes tedious, you'll be notified and warned. register:- in proper case
- first and last name. middle name optional.
- no nicknames, unless it's a shortened form of his or her name or what he or she truly goes by. Such as: freddy montgomery instead of frederick montgomery or jane hope even if her real name is mildred buchannan.
perfection:Is something you will not find anywhere. And yes, this includes Antigua in 1714. No Mary-Sues or Gary-Stus, you know the drill, I assume. Everyone has flaws, so exercise your creativity. characters:Keep them time appropriate, please. No emo kids or scene queens, no hollywood bimbos or body builders. There is a list of suggested play-by's if you'd like help, so check it out. Basically just keep it in mind that this is the 18th century and you'll be okay. rated:The rating is going to be a very lax pg-16. Some cursing, some violence, some nudity (not literally), some other not-so-good topics to be touched on. What can I say? Pirates are really bad eggs. But keep it to a minimum. And when it comes to sex scenes, pull a "fade to black" if stuff starts getting too hot and heavy. Keep our virgin eyes clean, thanks. general don'ts:- don't godmode
- don't use one-liners
- don't disrespect your fellow rper
- don't stretch the board with your signature
- don't post anything you'd be utterly ashamed of your mother finding
- don't ignore admin requests
- don't join, apply, and disappear within two days
- don't forget to have fun!
