For those who are interested Anime Banzai now has a Podcast.
Staff discuss Banzai related stuff, Anime news and general BS.
Podcasts are uncensored so you are warned, we sometimes don't hold back. :P

Recordings may be found by clicking on the purple podcast icon on the bottom of all website pages, or via the podcast section in the menu.

We are new at this so please be nice, we are aware of the mic problems on some sections, and until we get some sound dampening there will be some echo.
I'm aware that the first recordings are older, we had some technical problems that took some time to fix.

With our 1-2 episode a month schedule the Podcasts are one of the best ways to find out current information about Anime Banzai.

For those of you downloading the podcasts - yeah, sorry about being so loud. :) I really only have two settings, and "silent" doesn't particularly translate over the microphones well.

Okay, so I have now listened to the first two episodes. Great job for just getting started!

I particularly liked Episode 1. It was really interesting hearing all the back story to the origins of the convention and who was handling what back in those days. There was some good give-and-take and the moderation was well-handled, I thought.

Episode 2 was a bit of a mixed bag. Aside from the technical issues maybe it was just a bit too free-form? I found it difficult to tell who was speaking some of the time, particularly toward the end when the conversation became more lively. Still had some good information in it, though!

I'm interested to hear how this develops. ^_^b

Hence the name of episode 2: We need a script. :\

I wasn't around for ep3, but I think the recording for Ep 4 on Saturday went really well.

That makes sense; like everything else I am sure it is a learning process! I enjoyed episode 3, looking forward to episode 4. ^^

So many laughs, I love hearing the behind the scenes and the love!

Ep 4 is tenatively named 'Moe Burrito'. >:D

Edit: Hey, DevilTenchi - I just noticed that I'm not listed as a guest on any of the podcasts. o.o;;

Episode 4 is done, I need to review the final mixdown before I upload it. Its the longest episode so far at almost 2hrs, I'm wondering if I should cut it some more. Maybe offer a long and short version, don't know yet.

Special Guest Steve Nunez, aka Warky T. Chocobo discusses his past as a convention performer, his history with Anime Banzai, his special projects and shares some fun stories. First time guest and convention head Jose Cruz discusses his role with Anime Banzai and listen to his unique personal view on the industry. Other gusts discuss advertising, panels, cosplay and anime news.

With so much conversation a "Extended" 2hr 10min version containing some interesting stories, Jose & Warky going off on Voltron, more picking on Sony and other fun with be available soon. This "Extended Cut" will be unpolished with fewer edits that are made to make us sound good. Look in the news for when it becomes available.

Hey, Deviltenchi, you should probably think about cutting these down into two parts for the shows that are approaching or above 2 hours. Especially if people aren't particularly interested in our chitchat at the end, but want to keep up on the convention news.

Episode 6 was recorded last weekend, I've had some problems like hard drive failure, so it will be delayed a few more days. We had a fun BS in this episode but unfortunately it will be cut in the final version due to time restraints. I have plans to release it later, along with other outtakes as a bonus.
