Background: The Faithful Alliance was created with a host of other heavily-armed capital ships to add to the Fleet of Particular Justice to celebrate Thel 'Vadam's ascension to Supreme Commander. The Alliance saw heavy combat in the Human-Covenant war, including the Third Battle of Harvest and the Battle of Reach. The Fleet of Particular Justice slowly changed over the course of the war, until almost the entire fleet was Jiralhanae. The Faithful Alliance remained a bastion of old, equipped with older equipment, like the Spirit and Chopper, and the original Covenant members, Unggoy, Sangheili, Kig-Yar, and Lekgolo. However, at the Hierarch's command folowing Regret's assasination, Jiralhanae took command of the ship. When the Great Schism started, the Faithful Alliance realized with horror they were the only Sangheili-crewed ship in the fleet. The Sangheili were jailed in their own ship, but they staged a military coup shortly thereafter, and regained control. The Faithful Alliance regrouped with the Covenant Separatists, and the best ships were reorganized into the Fleet of Retribution, the pride of the Separatists, led by the Arbiter. The Faithful Alliance was included in the fleet.
