Alright given that the Colony Ship thread isn't quite working out, how bout we do something a little different.

Rebel forces vs. UNSC,

Rebels are attacking a UNSC station, and the small Station are all that stands between the Rebels and the planetary colony below.


year would be about 2473.

Because most of the old people, aren't here for us to finish those threads.

Fnny how this Halo RP's discussion seems to only dwell on things that aren't Halo these days. We still have the capability to do a decent thread, the thread itself just has to be one that can keep interest of all parties involved. Perhaps we should think up a new one that can actually accomplish this goal. And perhaps we should take Bill suggestion into account, if one of the parties fails to assist in the continuation, then the characters fate would lie in the hands of others. Does anyone have any thought on this?

Im with morse, personally im still interestedin conleys thing but he hasnt been around to start phase two of it, i was talking to Muraii he said he had an idea and might come back so i wll poke him later today when i see him again.

Well there must be something that is to be done. This place isn't inactive, people still come everyday to check these threads. But no one puts anything new in them. I say we just take one of them, and just force it on through. Persecution for example, we could just move into the drop phase as opposed to remaining in the briefing like we have been for months. There are options we have here, just no one has chosen to exercise any of them aside from wait for something to happen.

You could also post in the thread and contribute... I'm just saying, y'know. If there's a problem, fix it...

I could, but that would only be prolonging the inevitable plague that fall upon most RP's. The preparation and discussion goes on and on so long that the real basis of the thread doesn't actually even happen. Best example I can give is the colony thread that sits at the bottom of this site, with nothing in it. Also, in Persecution, my characters aren't in contact with any of the others as I was just waiting for the briefing end so the real thread could begin. But that never happened.

it's not just a briefing anymore. It's evolved to character interaction and progression. Dialogue and banter. Etc, etc. Halo had a story, too. It wasn't all combat all the time. Especially not in the books. Have your character finish the prep work on his Pelican and swing by the gym or the mess or something. Interact with your fellow soldiers or something, not stand around waiting impatiently.

As I recall, the majority of the story was brought about through the combat. I refer to it as the briefing, simply as a term to generalize 'pre-phase'. Besides that, its not a result of my character not moving, that the thread has come to a dead halt. It's time to progress to the operation phase.
