COMMEMORATING THE SALEM WITCH TRIALS
Every year around this time, an event council in Salem puts together a huge festival for locals and tourists alike. A banquet is held, for those who purchase the pricier tickets, inside the dance hall, and outside in the grassy field surrounding the building is where the regular festivities are held. There are various games to play, and many of the locals choose to dress up in period-accurate clothing to make the faire more realistic and fun. Picture Renaissance Faire with a Salem Witch Trial twist.

once a pasture land for farm animals, the salem common is now a park, doubling as a venue for outdoor concerts. think of it like the central park of the town, minus the hustle and bustle of new york city.

the salem harbor is home to over a dozen marinas, one of which has the famous reconstructed friendship sailing vessel in its port. many of the boats docked in the harbor are for fishing, or privately owned charter vessels.

boston is the capital and largest city in massachusetts, as well as being one of the oldest cities in the united states. such things as the boston massacre and boston tea party have made it a cultural landmark. it is located fifteen miles from downtown salem.
