Jay could never get enough of the outdoors. Unlike many kids, he had been raised away from computers, video games, and T.V. Not that he didn't have them- His mother's work had made a computer necessary, and his father liked to watch the news and History Channel- but he hadn't seen the point in them. They were only distractions, in the grand scheme of things. People sat at the T.V., watching shows about nature- Jay just figuired it was better to go outside and spend time in it.

And there was an ample amount in his backyard. Living on the bayou, he had been known to spend hours just laying on the bank watching the water flow by. The teen found it calming, but saying so meant others found him weird. It was one of the reasons he had been an outcast at school.

And one of the reasons he was here. Elphine had been born because of his friendlessness...

'So, by that logic, isn't nature bad?' Jay sighed, his brain going around and around the conundrum. By his logic, he supposed nature was some sort of drug for him- his mother had commented that he seemed to be slightly on edge when confined inside, like when he had the flu, for instance.

Making sure noone else was in the vicinity, the cajun let his ears and tail free, going into his natrual form. "Tha's better."

He laid down on the bench, watching the fountain in the center of the courtyard. 'Hm. The fountain don't seem to care wat anyone thinks.' As soon as he had that thought, the teen berated himself for thinking someone so stupid. The fountain didn't care about ANYTHING, of course... Right?
