Mordacai - March 2, 2012 08:50 PM (GMT)
Mordacai knew that the Gojulas outclassed him in terms of sheer firepower. But he also knew that he outclassed the Gojulas in ranged combat.
As fast as he could, Nova immediately turned around and ran full speed for 2 seconds to gain some nice distance on the Gojulas, shifting left and right to spread out and avoid what little long range capabilities the Gojulas did have, completely putting his accuracy to shit. Nova then turned back around as fast as he could, slowing down to prevent loosing control before hand to face him.
The second half of the round was spent by Nova crouching down to make him a slightly smaller target making it even harder for the Gojulas to do any serious damage on him. With the range between the two Zoids being this far apart, Mordacai knew that he would get the better of the Gojulas this round. As soon as Nova was facing the Gojulas again he carefully aimed using his Enhanced Optical Sensors, with the aid of his increased accuracy from his Wild Weasel Unit and open fired delivering precise shots with the Dual AZ100mm Assault Cannons, AZ75mm Linear Cannon, Quad AZ60mm Cannons, and Quad AZ80mm Cannons.
Mordacai carefully aimed for the right knee joint, focusing his entire arsenal on it, which were all excellent at this range, in an attempt to take the limb out quickly. He knew that in ranged combat he would have the advantage, and he wasn't going to take it for granted. He used Nova's Enhanced Optical Sensors along with his very nice accuracy increase from the WWU in order to increase success in the matter and rain hell on the Gojulas' right knee joint the remainder of the round, hoping to get the best of him.
Illegal's avoided.**

Amelia didn't move.
She had Twin Republican Supercannons.
She didn't need to.
Aiming carefully so as not to waste shots, she opened fire on her opponent with everything she had facing it. She was careful only to fire the TRSCs when she had a guaranteed hit, and certainly not when the Wolf was dodging about.
That's it, really.
Boom badaboom, baby.

There once lived a man who underestimated the arsenal of a Gojulas. As legend has it, he didn't live long.
The Kaiser Wolf begins the battle with a solid strategy: putting more distance between itself and it's foe. For two seconds it runs, bringing the distance up to 655 meters between himself and his foe.
That's two seconds of unadulterated fire that it took from Gojulas' Quad 70mm Machineguns and Dual AZ20mm Beam Machineguns. The rapid-fire weapons may lose a bit of their accuracy as the distance grows, but the sheer amount shells that the Gojulas is capable of expelling is jaw-dropping, and it's more than enough to still tag the Kaiser Wolf for some fierce damage. Something that puts out 90 shells per second has no trouble with that.
As the Kaiser Wolf begins to turn, Amelia smiles and squeezes the big trigger, sending a pair of Twin Republic Super Cannons downrange, and smacking the Kaiser Wolf with both shells, something that's rarely seen in Zoid battles.
The double-impact of the shells sends the Kaiser Wolf almost immediately to it's side, skidding a few meters further than it had initially planned. It took two very serious hits, and the Twin Republic Super Cannons are something that simply cannot be shrugged off.
All is not lost, and though it takes an additional second for the Kaiser Wolf to get into position, it's up and firing by the fourth second of the round, and just before the round ends it manages to score a few nice shots in retaliation.
Positions: The two Zoids are facing each other at a distance of 665 meters.
Damages:
Gojulas: Medium plus to the right knee joint. Moderate plus slightly above and below the knee.
Kaiser Wolf: Moderate plus to the rear legs, tail, and lower back. Moderate minus to entire left side. Two large areas of heavy plus along the same side between the shoulder and hip. Armor is missing, and internals are in plain view. Moderate minus to the Kaiser Wolf's front legs and chest. Moderate plus to the shoulders.
Reverse order and continue.

Who needs knees? Amelia had her target right where she wanted it, and she had one choice: shoot.
Her opponent? It had to dodge or shoot. There was no middle ground; not if accuracy was desired. Either her knee went out gloriously as she gunned at the Wolf, or the Wolf went out gloriously as it attempted to dodge her bullerstorm in vain.
So she kept up the pressure, once again saving those prescious TRSC rounds for that single, perfect moment when at least one would hit. The moment it came she squeezed the trigger and sent two round of super dense, unadulterated death downrange.
There was no attempt at focusing damages. Her guns were not made for that. She just focused on hitting.
She focused on ending this Wolf in the second round of the fight.
Mordacai - March 21, 2012 11:28 AM (GMT)
Mordacai knew that the TRSC's had a six second reload time, and that he had about three seconds left before they would be reloaded. That was plenty of time.
Keeping his low crouching profile, Nova continued his hellacous assault utilizing his Enhanced Optical Sensors and increased accuracy from his Wild Weasel Unit to continue delivering precise shots with the Dual AZ100mm Assault Cannons, AZ75mm Linear Cannon, Quad AZ60mm Cannons, and Quad AZ80mm Cannons aiming once again for that right knee joint that he had previously targeted. Mordacai was hoping to take the knee out quickly to topple the beast with another three seconds of hell.
Mordacai knew that five seconds of precise fire would be more than enough to seriously mess up the Gojulas' knee. So much so that Mordacai continued to hold the trigger down for another three seconds aiming at that same knee joint! Nova didn't move the entire round. He was happy with his range and happy with his position. It was time for the Gojulas to topple over.
Mordacai was going to show the world that he wasn't a coward and could hang with the big boys. Also, he was hoping that the initial five seconds of precise fire from all of his AZ weaponry would prevent the Gojulas from being such a stable platform, preventing any accurate TRSC shots at this range. Should he be wrong, he would get up as fast as possible and continue his assault on the knee joint.

The Kaiser Wolf holds it's position, soaking up even more fire from the Gojulas than it did before. However, the Wolf is certainly not without it's bite, and it continues to sling a slew of AZ rounds directly into the Gojulas knee. Amelia, a seasoned in her own right sees no problem in losing a knee. She's done it a few times before.
The damage on both sides steadily increases, and where the Gojulas outpaces the Kaiser Wolf in terms of the sheer volume of shells it can put out, precision is on the Kaiser Wolf's side. And with that, it deals a crippling blow to the Gojulas, albeit late into the round. At four seconds in, right after the Twin Republic Super Cannons have reloaded, the Gojulas pilot pulls the trigger, sending another pair of shells downrange towards the stationary Kaiser Wolf.
The first pair of shells hurts even the toughest Zoids. Not many Zoids live to see the second pair. Only higher class Zoids can survive such punishment. While the Gojulas makes the Kaiser Wolf pay for it's transgressions, the immense recoil force works against the Zoid.
This time accuracy wasn't effected, but the knee was. With an ear-pinging pop the knee gives out and the leg snaps right across the middle. As the Gojulas falls Mordacai stares with a combination of accomplishment and awe in his eyes. The Gojulas slams into the ground hard, shaking the ground and stirring up a cloud of dust in it's vicinity. For a moment it's eyes go dim, flickering with the impact and giving Amelia a scare. However, just like that, life floods back into the eyes, proving that the hardy Gojulas - though down, certainly is not out.
Positions: Generally unchanged from the last round, with the exception of the Gojulas facing the Kaiser Wolf on its side.
Damages:
Gojulas: the leg is gone from the knee down, moderate-minus in the form of dents along the side from such a rough fall
Kaiser Wolf: medium-plus to the entire front, heavy-minus to the chest--armor is missing and internals are in plain view, heavy-plus to the front shoulder--armor is missing, the structure is crumpled, and the leg is nearly useless--25% decrease in performance.
Reverse order and continue!
Mordacai - April 15, 2012 11:09 AM (GMT)
Mordacai knew that the Gojulas would have a hard time moving from this position. The Gojulas was also facing Nova, and this opened up another high value target for Mordacai.
Nova continued to hold his ground bravely. Giving the one-legged beast everything he had, knowing that the Gojulas would suffer from accuracy even more so now than before. It was time to finish this quickly.
Nova continued using his Enhanced Optical Sensors and accuracy enhancement from his Wild Weasel Unit to continue nailing the Gojulas with precise shots with the Dual AZ100mm Assault Cannons, AZ75mm Linear Cannon, Quad AZ60mm Cannons, and Quad AZ80mm Cannons, only this time he wasn't aiming for a knee. Mordacai was ready to finish this as quickly as possible, and to do this on the downed Gojulas, he concentrated all his firepower on concentrated shots to the center of the massive neck, to quickly gain access to the ZCC to CSF the Gojulas before he could do the same to him.
Mordacai concentrated as hard as he could to deliver precise shots to the neck, keeping a very tight shot group in order to tear clean through the armor and into the ZCC. He was careful to keep his precise aim on the massive neck far enough from the cockpit to risk shooting the pilot.
Shadow-Dragon - April 17, 2012 10:04 PM (GMT)
Amelia lined up everything she had and let it out on the Kaiser.
She attempted to line up her TRSCs, but did not fire them until she was sure she'd get a direct hit.
Said direct hit would probably end the match, so she wanted to be certain.
She tried to focus her attacks on existing damage, preferably spots of significant damage, as much as possible.
And her final act from her nearly-immobile Gojulas?
She opened its jaw as wide as it would go as soon as she realized where the Kaiser was aiming, effectively doubling the plating that it would have to go through by positioning the lower mouth over the neck.
She was in a Gojulas, a mountain of armor and weaponry. This was a battle of attrition now.
Malakryptum would outlast Nova.
Brawn - April 20, 2012 10:33 PM (GMT)
Throughout the course of the battle, the Kaiser Wolf has been either extremely stubborn or extremely bold. And while it may have paid off in the sense of immobilizing one of the toughest Zoids on the planet, the damage done was limited to a very localized area.
The Gojulas must have luck on it's side, as the Kaiser Wolf opts to open up on a new target, chock full of fresh and relatively undamaged armor. Simply stated, it takes time. The Zoid Control Conduit is arguably one of the most well protected areas on the Gojulas.
Inside the cockpit Amelia smiles and pulls the trigger one last time, sending another pair of Super Cannon shells downrange.
The Kaiser Wolf can't take anymore. With a groan it falls into a Command System Freeze.
The battle is over!
Amelia wins!

Gojulas: Rebuild
