(Took bit of liberty with the model , but who needs cannon anyway?)
Weight: 12.0 Tons
Top Speed: 170 kph
Weapons: AZ20mm Hyper Gatling Cannon, Power Hands
Abilities: Smoke Dischargers, Multi Sensors
After the development of the Hammer Rock and the Iron Kong military contractors conceived of an ape Zoid fit for long range commando infiltration beyond enemy lines. What they came up with was the Gorem, a small but powerful Zoid that would be able work in a unit to infiltrate enemy territory, make and then return safely. However development of the Gorem was not smooth and many corners had to be cut in development ultimately ending up with a much weaker zoid than first envisioned. The development team was given a choice between sacrificing armor and armaments or itís scanning equipment, they decided that the sensors were more important than the offensive and defensive capabilities. The armor on the Gorem is equal in quality to the Molga, but its coverage doesnít even compare. While the front of Gorem is protected almost entirely the Gorem lacks significant coverage anywhere else on the Zoid besides the hips and upper back. Because of this developers installed a number of smoke dischargers to help prevent the Gorem from taking additional damage as well as protecting commando units as they withdraw from areas.
As the Zoid was meant to infiltrate enemy territory it was decided to not cover it with multiple weapon systems and instead give it one multipurpose weapon. The weapon they came up with was the versatile AZ 20mm Hyper Gatling Cannon, a weapon normally expected to be loaded on a larger Zoid. Because the Gorem generally doesnít carry as much armor or armaments as the other members of the Kong family the Zoid is exceptionally agile and able to pull off jumps and maneuvers that would put the stiffer Iron Kong and even the Hammer Rock to shame. It's smaller size however affects the Goremís max lifting threshold, limiting it is about 5 tons less than the Rockís.
As the Zoid was phased out of military use and found its way into ZBC matches it has become something of an oddity. Strictly speaking it is more difficult to pilot successfully than the Hammer Rock, but provides a number of unique options for a Zoid of its class. More recently designers have been making use of the Zoids largely empty chassis to develop a large amount of modifications that can be installed and help fix some of the Zoidís weaknesses.
AZ20mm Hyper Gatling Cannon: Gatling cannons of this size are usually found on much large zoids, but the since the Gorem boasts has no other major armaments and has impressive lifting power for its size the right shoulder mounted cannon creates no hindrance to the Zoid. The AZ20mm Hyper Gatling cannon boasts an exceptionally fast firing rate of 30 rounds per second. In addition to its fast firing rate the cannon boasts exceptional versatility being relatively accurate up to 300m able to rotate 180 Degrees horizontally and 60 degrees vertically.
Power Hands: Despite being smaller than the Hammer Rock, Gorem is only slightly less powerful with its max lifting ability only being 5 tons less than itís cousin, approximately 25 tons. In addition to its impressive strength the Goremís hands are outfitted with specialized gripping and crushing mechanism that allows it to grab a hold of enemy Zoids and literally crush them with its bare hands. The Power Hands crushing ability is able to seriously distort and damage the armor of even the heavier armored Gamma Zoids and at the very least keep a death grip on whichever Zoid the Gorem latches onto...for better or worse. This comes especially handy when used to keep an opponentís Zoid held in place while it unloads its weapons in close range. In addition the gripping hands also come in handy when traversing various difficult terrains.
Smoke Dischargers: Located on either side of the Goremís head are six smoke dischargers. These dischargers dispense black smoke that covers a 60m area and blocks all visual scanning for about ten seconds. Zoids inside the smoke can still be located via IR or other advanced scanning equipment.
Multisensor: The Goremís cyclopean eye actually holds an impressive sensor array meant to locate Zoids or any other objectives that would be hidden to normal scanners. The Hammer Rockís sensors are contain both 3d and thermal imaging meaning it is virtually impossible to escape the sight of this Zoid. The unmodified range of this system is 600m. The standard array can also transmit this data to allied Zoids within a 150 meters of the Gorem.

I'm not exactly an expert on this sort of thing, and I haven't even posted in this forum more than once or twice, but I'd like to point out that Nathan already has a Gorem under development, unless he abandoned it while I wasn't looking (a very real possibility).
And now, so as not to be a total noob...
- 4m tall and 12 tons? Seems a bit small, not only for a member of the Kong family but for any Epsilon, really. Although I suppose it makes sense given the description.
- The Hyper Gatling Cannon - is it 20mm or 25mm? There's an inconsistency in the weapons section thereabouts.
- I'm a stupid and have nothing else to say.
Thanks for the catch on the gun, guess I missed that during the conversion.
I don't really think the size is a problem considering the model's original purpose. It has more than enough strength to compensate for that.
For what it's worth, the fact that a Gorem has already been created doesn't necessarily mean anything. We may find a way to merge the two, or we may simply go with one or the other. Both have been done in the past.
