COE prices down except for Open Category

SINGAPORE : Certificate of Entitlement (COE) prices have fallen across the board, except in the Open Category, for November's second open bidding exercise.

The sharpest drop was in Category B for cars above 1,600 cc, with the COE falling thousand dollars to S$20,300.

For small cars, the COE was nearly S$500 cheaper at S$22,001.

The Open Category COE went up S$200 to S$21,999.

For motorcycles, it was down S$40 to S$611.

For goods vehicles and buses, the COE was nearly S$800 less at S$5,001

COE prices fall across the board; big cars at $14,002

SINGAPORE : COE prices for January's first opening bidding exercise fell across the board, with the biggest fall seen in the Open Category - the lowest in more than 10 years.

Prices in all the car categories led the decline.
COE price for Category B - big cars above 1600cc - fell a sharp $4,706 to $14,002.

The Open Category saw prices dropping $2,003 to $19,295 - the lowest since February 1993.

The small car category registered a $1,717 fall to $18,400.

Goods vehicles and buses was down $591 to $3,710, and motorcycles edge lower by $49 to $552.

Big cars register biggest drop as COE prices fall

COE prices in the April Open Bidding exercise fell in most categories.
Prices for Goods Vehicles and Buses remain unchanged at $7,100.

The biggest fall was recorded in Category B for cars above 1,600cc. COE prices in this group was down by $1,891 to $16,110.

Category A for cars below 1,600cc was $18,279, a drop of $622, while the Open Category shed $199 to $18,802.

COE prices down for all car categories, biggest fall for big cars

COE prices for all car categories were down again.

The latest open bidding exercise saw the biggest fall in big cars, which dropped by $1,193 to $16,508.
It went up by $1,591 to $17,701 in the previous exercise.

COEs for small cars and the Open category were the lowest in two months - the fourth consecutive drop since March.

The COE for small cars now cost $17,398, down by $703, while that in the Open category dropped by $301 to $17,699.

The only increase was for motorcyles, with the COE now costing $702, up $111. - CNA

Results of the second open bidding exercise for July showed an increase of $388 to $16,500.

COE for big cars also went up, by $1000 to $16,501.

But COE for goods vehicles and buses, as well as motorcycles dipped.

Goods vehicles and buses by $23 to $6501; and motorcycles, by $100 to $652.

COE for the open category remains unchanged at $17,199. - CNA

Prices for smaller cars 1600 cc and below in Category A have fallen sharply by $3,318 to $11,991.

For cars above 1600 cc in Category B, prices fell by $3,806 to $11,002.

COE prices for vehicles in the Category E or the Open Category fell $3,699 to $12,000

Motorcycle COE prices also dipped by $39 to $551.

Only COE prices for Category C or Goods Vehicles and Buses went up, but by a marginal $70.

COE prices hit new lows in latest open bidding exercise

The Certificate of Entitlement for large cars above 1600cc has dropped to an all-time low of S$9,001, falling below the psychological S$10,000 mark.

COEs headed down south in October this year to around S$11,000, the lowest since the early 1990s.

The downward trend did not continue and prices went slightly higher.

In the latest round of the COE bidding exercise, however, prices went down for all categories of vehicles.

The biggest drop was for cars above 1600cc, down S$4,300 from S$13,301 in the previous bidding exercise.

For smaller cars 1600cc and below, the COE prices fell S$1,619 to S$12,081 from S$13,700.

The COE for Goods Vehicles and Buses is now S$5,010, down S$3,491.

COE prices for motorcycles are also down slightly, from S$554 to S$552, while prices for vehicles in the Open Category have also fallen S$898 to S$13,302. - CNA
