"Yes," Meka replied. "I feel it as well. Unfortunately, the others are mere fools. Trying to cross worlds. They play with what they do not understand. They think they have a goal, but it is nothing but Chaos. They cannot grasp the true order and peace that I will bring.

All will be tested. Alliances will fall. And if we do not act, the fool-hearty will cross our world with the dark. And all would be lost.

...and so, it begins."

Meka turned to leave.

"Keep a watchful eye. They have already aroused a power they do not understand in Salem. Soon, they will have to be reminded of their place. Soon, we will reveal to them, they serve,,, us."

" Indeed it is brother." Seth said as he watched the images swirl. " All worlds are on the edge of converging, when they do, our earth will become shrouded in blood and death." So many things had been set in motion, so much dark energy unraveling.

Seth grinned as the sphere finally turned back to black as the images dissipated. " We are on the doorsteps of a new world, a new beginning, but before the new dawn, there must be death and destruction, to bring about the rebirth." Seth slowly nodded to Meka.

" We must prepare ourselves, our minds, our bodies, for all will be tested." Seth stepped to the only window to the entire chamber, it was night and the moon glistened a bright red, the blood moon, also known as the harvest moon. " Mother earth itself is even bracing herself for the tide that is coming."

Meka used the Palantir to show Uroboros something else. The orb swirled as it began to reveal, another world. Another Earth, another time, another dimension.

It was dark and scorched. And crawling across the face of this Earth was a dark evil.
So much so, it stole the warmth even from Uroboros's blood.
An evil that knew no limitation. An evil that was unbounded.

And the heroes of that time, of that earth. Their bleached skulls hung from a black tree. They decorated "Her" chamber.

"What others do not understand, that is what I will fight for. Eden will be rebuilt.
And the stain of this evil will not touch it.

Our time is soon."

  "Careful," Meka said almost tauntingly.

"The full powers of the Palantír are still unknown. And not all the stones are accounted for. As you look into it, others may look back. The Palantír cannot be made to lie, and what it takes, it does not give back."

The two looked at each other over the Palantír.

"The birth of the child begins the prophesies, and signals the coming age.
The lines that are drawn are done in shifting sands. Loyalties, alliances that are now, will be washed away. And new, stronger bonds will arise.

I have foreseen it.

Even now, those who were once powerful, are made weak as they are cast out. Alone.

Blood will be spilled. The new world, the new paradise I shall bring will be birthed by pain and sacrifice. It is unfortunate, but it must be done.

The child is a part. For it is those like her that shall inherit the new paradise."

Meka waved his hand, the Palantír focused in on Cable, running with the child in the snow. A firefight. Those trying to get to Cable and the child.

"The Askani'son protects the child,,, the child must be protected. Her destiny will be fulfilled. And I, shall show her the greatness of that destiny."

The Palantír then scrolled to a Red-headed Warrior maiden.

"Even now, as the Askani'son fights to protect the child, his friends, his allies hunt him the same as his enemies. The Summer's line is corruptable. And the Askani Mother," Meka narrowed his eyes upon Karenza. "Even she plays her part."

Meka's eyes flashed with emerald power as the Palantír again scrolled through visions, coming to rest on a ritual taking place in Salem. Rasputin, Constantine, Doom... those in attendance.

"All, will play their part. They believe, as my... father believes. That they shall unite our two worlds, and expand the reign of fire and, Apocalypse."

The Palantír scrolled again, to a dark vision. A dark world, and another vision of Karenza, but different. Chained, beaten, subdued.

"He would use her power to join our worlds. To knit the ley lines together and open the doorway."

Meka passed his hand again as the Palantír went back to it's marble look.

"Such a, narrow and feeble vision. There is no true creation. It is unfortunate that they do not see the whole picture. And for their penance, they shall all sacrifice for the new world...

Meka looked back at Uroboros, "I have foreseen it. Nothing, escapes my sight"

" Things have been set in motion for ages now, but this new birth brings great tragedy and now the energy that keeps us all in place is unbalanced, for those of us who can see the lines of energy, they are tearing at the seams." A figure spoke as he calmly entered the room. First extended, one wing black, one wing white, they curled inward to his body.

" Long before you peered into the seeing stone, you have seen the disruptions rippling through the ley lines of energy." Seth circled around the Palantír slowly, cautiously tilting his head to the side as he circled, as almost interested by the images from a distance. " Like that of tiny grains of sand in an hourglass, time is fleeting for this world, mutants, humans it makes no difference, all are simple awaiting for their lifeline to hit zero."

Seth now stood to the opposite side of the Palantír, from where meka stood. " Blood will be spilt, there is no denying that which is inevitable, but the lines drawn are now barely visible, which plays into my hand." Seth waved his hand as the seeing stone shifted colors to gray, it moved inside the stone like storm clouds in the sky.

Somewhere in the deserts of the Middle East, was a tower. It sprang up like an oasis in the desert.

Within one of the highest, central chambers was a room. The room was cylindrical, with a single door. It had no light except what was offered by the candles placed though out.

In the center of the room, stood a pedestal. The top of the pedestal covered by a black cloth that draped to the floor.
The door opened as a black robed figure entered. He moved with purpose. He stepped up towards the pedestal, he raised his hand, and then cast it down. All the candles seemed to be blown out at once. The room fell into darkness. The figure reached forward, and pulled the cloth off to reveal, a round stone. The size of a basketball. Perfectly round, perfectly smooth.

The figure's eyes flashed with emerald colored energy. The stone responded, changing it's appearance to a clear almost crystal look. The inside of the sphere seemed to swirl with dark clouds.

It was a Palantír.

A seeing stone.

Meka, gazed into the stone.
A task not for the week. Not all the stones were accounted for. Some lost through the ages, others... were coveted.
The power of sight was just one mystery the stones possessed.
Meka, had the power to control the stone. An Askani who could focus the stone's gaze.

He peered into it, deeply. His concerns, revealed.
A child,,, a Ritual,,, and fire.

Meka broke off his gaze and covered the stone again. He raised his hand and the candles flared back to life.

"Fools," He said under his breath. "They know not. They must be shown..."

And so begins, his quest.
