" This isn't going to be easy to fix Cerebra, don't even know if it's in one piece Professor." David said as he worked dillegently on Cerebra. Xavier watched as he did so. " If anyone here can fix her, it is you David, I trust in your skills."

David couldn't help but feel a little creeped out as the Stepford Cuckoos stood in the room, as if waiting for him to fix Cerebra, just in general the trio freaked him out. But he continued to focus on the task at hand.

" There is severe damage to the interlocked mainframe, but I may be able to rewire the internal modulator banks to override the damage and function normally, or atleast normal enough to be usable." Xavier nodded. " Do what you must David, she is now in your hands."

It was hard for Charles to see this yet again. It was not the physical damage to the building that bothered him. It was the sadness in the eyes of his students and former students that was the hardest thing for him to carry on his shoulders.

As he watched David, he could tell the young man was a bit disturbed by the presence of the Cuckoos. Many of the students felt the girls were an eerie psychic extension of their "mother" Emma Frost, but they were also a great help when needed in using Cerebra.

"It's hard to imagine we may have to leave our home," he said as David continued to work. "I never thought I'd see this day come."

The Cuckoos stood to the side as Prodigy worked on Cerebra with Professor Xavier's help. It was getting dreadfully boring until Miss Frost contacted them over their link. "Does she think this will be easy?" Mindee said as she shook her head and the Three-in-One started to go to work with the help of the White Queen.

Right now we do not need to know all that about Mr. Logan and Miss MacFeorais}} Celeste said telepathically as the girls started to hone in on where Cable may have gone to with the Blackbird. {{Can't we just track the homing device on the jet?}} Phoebe queried as they picked up the faintest trace of where Cable might have gone. {{Miss Frost, we are sensing a trace of Cable near Dallas. Is it possible he went to see Forge?}}

Charles walked out of the direct line of sight with David and prayed the Cuckoos were too busy with Emma to notice him picking up a headset and walking into a room off the Cerebra chamber. "What in the world is going on? Where are you?"

As he continued to talk with Cable, Charles was frantic that someone would walk in, so he ekpt one eye toward the door as David seemed to finish his work on Cerebra.

Charles could tell Nathan was in terrible pain and had likely been injured in his quest to save this infant. "I will get on that task now," he said as he walked back into the Cerebra chamber.

"Thank you, David," he said as he sat in the chair behind the conosle and slid on the helmet. He took a deep breath and concentrated on the signature of that newborn child. He blinked for a moment as he realized where the child was now located. He quickly tapped out a set of coordinates and sent them to the Blackbird where Cable was now located.

The baby was on Muir Island.

Xavier then linked Cerebra into the secret line to speak to Cable. it translated his thoughts into audible sound.

"I have no idea why that came into play, but Godspeed. If you need further help, let me know."

Xavier stayed on the secured line as he waited for Cable to get back to him. When Cable remained quiet for too long, Charles knew he had to act.

"Thank you again for your help, David," Charles said as he got up from Cerebra. "Girls, if you wish to help David perform further tests, please feel free to do so. I have an appointment I need to keep."

Xavier walked out of the Cerebra Room and to his office down the corridor. Once there he closed the door quickly behind him and pulled out a box with a small talisman in it. While he was not one to always place his faith in magic, Charles did place his faith in Kari. She had said this talisman would open a portal in cases of emergency, and getting to Cable on that Blackbird was indeed an emergency.

{{Cable, I'm coming}} he said telepathiclaly as a portal shimmered open. Charles stepped into it and onto the Blackbird.
