Once more I feel this thing
This very frightening thing.
I haven’t felt this in years.
So why is this here?
Treading through me
Oh so suddenly.
Was it you who did it?
Or did I do it?
Letting down my guard
And letting in the hound
The hound of fright
So try I might.
To prevent the pain once more
I wish not to feel it more and more.
Where have my barriers gone
Where might they have been lodged?
I wish to run
I wish to lunge.
I wish for your protection
I wish for your obligation
I wish my fear
Would disappear.
I wish I could feel special again
Only this time with out the pain.
