This is my first and only attempt at coloring in Photoshop. A little too much preshading but it was decent for an experiment. My old WoW character. smile.gif

A little washed out because of the settings on my scanner. My face biggrin.gif

My first attempt at comic style drawing. It's a rendition of me in my firewatch uniform back when I was in the Navy.

Generic hands and feet exercise.

Perspective exercise, drawn in pencil and shaded in Photoshop. I think this was 3 point perspective...kind of hard to do because the light source is actually in front of the horizon.

Some quick stick figures to illustrate form and proportion.

Some more stick figures at the next stage of being fleshed out.

More perspective exercises. Stormtroopers ftw.

It wouldn't let me post these two on the first one.

Well what the hell does it look like? Lol.

Last but not least, I was bored at work one day and photoshopped Yamato (from the Naruto series) onto my shoulders, added a couple of layers for shading, and shaded my body to match the illustration. I love this face, lol.

Yeah I think you'll fit in here just fine.

This is all some very nice work. I’m sure once the art experts like MegaSquid and Supah arrived they can give a more appropriative review of your works beyond my meager “looks nice”.

Well Coldblue allow me to apologies for how much we all suck, except for Fearless Leader (that’s right Bobby you can suck on your own tongue.gif). If you’re still interested in assisting with your artistic talents perhaps you could help me with my story “History of Trunks: Majin Buu”

Supah was supposed to draw out some of the characters and scenes but he has been terribly busy, so I ask would you like to try your hand at doing some drawings for my story. The original characters could really use some concept drawings; like Black and Seira. If this sounds like something you’d like to do let me know and if you’ve got any idea of your own please feel free to share them.

My apologies for being so retardedly... tardy.

c0ldblue, your usage of shading is very nice, as is your use of subtle coloring (the fantasy character with the large nose). However, your stick characters and shaped characters issue in my head that, although you can definitely draw the human form in its completion, drawing the mid-processes seems a bit off (especially that side running pose; that guy's neck should "end" down a bit, near the shoulder, as most columnar objects edges round when tilted, as seen in perspective... just tilt a can up or down, and you'll see what I mean.)

Your portfolio impresses me. I do hope to see more. It even gives me motivation to draw more.

As a Doctor let me say I find your work both pleasing visually and optically enjoyable. This is indeed high praise as I am a Doctor.

Thanks coldblue. If you’re going to try character concepts all the descriptions are laid out in the story, but I can understand if you don’t want to read through the story just for that. If you would prefer I’ll write up and send you some brief character descriptions, and then we can work forward from there.

Also on a side note how would you feel about me setting up that picture of Yamato as your forum avatar?

MegaSquid,

Thanks for your comments. smile.gif You are right about the "mid-process" stuff. I have never drawn using that method before I started taking classes...it was all very new to me. In fact that document was the first time I had ever tried building a stick figure from the ground up. I had fun with it though. For some reason I enjoyed drawing the actual stick figures more than the "fleshed out" ones. Maybe cuz I grew up with Stickdeath.com? Lol.

Eddie,

I don't want to inconvenience you, but if you could find the time for some brief descriptions that would be great...let me know if it's not possible. And please do set that as my avatar! That would be great. I still think that picture is hilarious.

Doctor...

No worries Blue, I'll have descriptions of Seira and Black e-mailed to you later tonight or tomorrow morning.

Nothing encouraging. sad.gif I have the email you sent me saved in a SPECIAL folder...unfortunately I have been so ridiculously busy with work that I haven't been able to pursue many social or personal interests. But I will get to them. Even if you end up doing something else with the concepts I will post my own eventually.

Sorry about that, brother. But I haven't forgotten, I promise. smile.gif
