Notes: This is one of my top 3 favorite Mushishi AMVs of allllll time. It's very simple editing, and just uses the footage of Mushishi to bring the eerie song by Radiohead to life.

I re-watched this video, and started really watching it...when I noticed that this entire video is *gasp* actually trying to tell a story!

Highlight below for spoilers for my interpretation of the plot, but only AFTER you watch the AMV and see how your interpret it on your own.......if you want. Please?

It starts out with traveling Ginko, checking things out, looking around...he's looking for something that he senses is there, but can't seem to find. There isn't much there for a while, just little hints and things... Then it slowly builds and builds, and in the second half, the Pandora's Box (i.e. mushi) is unleashed upon everyone, and Ginko can only stare in horror as it all unfolds before him...

...or something like that, you know? 0o0 THIS MIGHT BE MY FAVORITE MUSHISHI AMV, ACTUALLY. I love it when people can take footage and manipulate it like that with so little editing. It makes me swoooon.

The Viewer's Choice Awards over at animemusicvideos.org finished up a month or two ago, so I went and checked some of 'em out. There are the two that I can't stop watching over and over again!

This first one won Best Sentimental and Best Drama. Don't ask me why they bothered to make two separate categories. 83;;;

Warning: Contains nudity, but it's not that bad

Don't let the theme and anime fool you, if you have doubts about such an AMV being enjoyable. I think it's the song that does it. MAN, what an awesome driving, POUNDING angst song, and sung with such a great singer. I've seen Shuffle!, so I can really connect to the message being shown, but it's simple enough I think for anyone to get into.

This next one won Video of the Year, along with Best Use of Multiple Anime and Most Artistic Video. Oh, Nostromo, you've done it again. :3

Nostromo feels like the brainchild of Kevin Caldwell and Koopiskeva, if those names mean anything to anyone. He's got Koop's technical skills (and possibly more), but also really just lets the anime shine without putting too much stuff on top of the video clips he chooses. And man, do I love the "atmosphere" that his AMVs create.

More next time probably! Now that my new computer can play any kind of video just fine, and it's super pretty, I feel a resurgence of AMV-watching coming my way. 8D
