INSTITUTE HEAD THIRTY-EIGHT LUCY LAWLESS
A former member of MI5, Constable was the best in her field of counter-terrorism. That is, until she witnessed her entire team get swallowed into a magical wormhole while on a covert mission. Devastated, she was relieved of her duties in MI5 and was soon approached by Veritas to take over the U.K. branch after a very gory mission killed or seriously injured all of its members. Having nothing else to lose, Salem took the job and has been leading the team for the last seven years.
INSTITUTE DOCTOR THIRTY-EIGHT JASON BATEMAN
Lucas had lived a fairly simple life. He got engaged halfway through medical school but, finding his fiance cheating with a member of faculty, that was quietly broken off and for a while he was understandably bitter until her death of cancer a year after graduation which just made him regret not forgiving her and having at least some time with her. Because of this confusion on where he actually stands, he has a tendency to be a terrible flirt but rarely does much more, fearing commitment. He does have a very strong attachment to his co-worker Segupta, however, being brought in as physical therapy to help her recover from a minotaur attack. His curiosity and constant questioning about how exactly those wounds came to be and refusal to believe any of the excuses that the team cooked up convinced them to eventually hire him on properly, letting him in on the secret.
INSTITUTE WEAPONS SPECIALIST THIRTY-TWO JAMIE BAMBER
An ex-military sniper, Ward possibly liked his job too much for his former position's liking. Once his tour was over, returning to a life where what he had done wasn't exactly something that he could incorporate into his day to day existence, Ward was lost. He was found again, however, when on a hunting trip with his former commander and his acquaintances Ward came into contact with Salem Constable and found himself with a job offer. This wasn't exactly his life before. It's proving a different kind of challenge and Ward appreciates a good challenge.
INSTITUTE RESEARCH TWENTY-SEVEN SE7EN
Daichi Kwan's and his twin sister Jun lived very privileged lives in New York. When Jun went missing and was later found dead as a part of a ritualistic sacrifice, Dai made it his goal to find out whoever killed his sister. Dai found himself, years later, as a behavioral analyst for the FBI. It was easy for him to get that far in the ranks incredibly fast due to his panmnesia (the ability to retain and recall anything ever learned.) This FBI agent who couldn't forget anything caught the eyes of Veritas and they informed him about what really happened to his sister and offered him a job as their Research Specialist. He has been working there for two years now and absolutely loves it.
INSTITUTE LINGUISTIC TWENTY-SIX ZACH WARD
A Swansea native, Rhydderch's interests seem to conflict greatly with his personality. He has a wide understanding of language but, for his personal life, not really in possession of the ability to use it to it's full potential. He's awkward, stumbling over his own words but, when it's part of a job, can turn on a confident air. Rhydderch is the new recruit to the UK branch of the Institute, though it doesn't feel like it anymore. He joined as a result of a mutually witnessed haunting and possession, able to translate for the spirit that had taken over the professor he was assisting as a graduate student and was the only witness to this incident outside of the institute at the time to not be made to forget. After a months 'courtship' of being called up by the Institute for freelance translations and study, Rhydderch was eventually hired on properly.
INSTITUTE TECH-SPECIALIST TWENTY-FOUR RUMER WILLIS
Aronson, once a bored office worker/witch hacking her way into bank accounts and funneling money to various magical communities and families, is the newest recruit to Team Veritas and it can sometimes show with a lack of maturity and seriousness. She entered into the job as part of her parole and as a way to keep this mostly harmless perpetrator within sight, Constable has attempted to take her under her wing in a way, showing her that slacking her way through life isn't going to be all that rewarding and that life with a purpose, like what they've given her, will be much better when her parole is actually up.
INSTITUTE ARCHAEOLOGIST THIRTY THREE INDIRA VARMA
On a routine excavation dig in the English countryside, Sengupta first encountered the supernatural as it took over her body. Through some very dark magic a Monk from Roman times had enchanted his athame which, years later, just happened to find itself in Sengupta's hands. With this new body, he rejoined his order and tried to put back into action a magical war of his time. He was exorcised but never captured, instead, the Institute gained a new employee in Sengupta four years ago.
INSTITUTE POLICE LIAISON TWENTY-EIGHT ADEWALE AKINNUOYE-AGBAJ
One of Harding's first cases as a police detective put him in contact with the Institute as the murder victim had been found nearby the headquarters and also had Constable's cellphone number in his phone. The victim, a werewolf that had regularly used the Institute's housing area for his transformation, had been viciously murdered but there were no leads save for the VI information which Harding was in charge of investigating. While he never did solve the case, a fact that still bothers him despite it being two years now, Harding did find more secrets and, eventually, answers as he was approached to serve as a connection between the force and the Institute.
INSTITUTE SUPPORT THIRTY-TWO JESSICA MAUBOY
A vampire discovered by the Institute during an investigation on a string of blood bank break-ins, Anu is who the Institute turns to in order to get their 'dirty work' done. She is who covers up what is going on to the general public, all the way down to hiding the evidence and bodies if need be. She's unassuming but knows how to get a job done and can also be very creative in her thinking.

INNER CIRCLE MONK SEVENTY SIR IAN MCKELLEN
Born into a sizable fortune, Seabrooke is accustomed to having pretty much everything he wanted. He wasn't necessarily a bad man. He definitely practiced blacker magic than some in the know would recommend but he hadn't been malicious or hadn't crossed any dark lines until after the death of his wife and child. After this, he finally had something that was denied to him that he desperately wanted and he turned to the darkest of magic in order to try to get back what he wanted. Along the way he's lost a good deal of his inhibitions and there's a good chance that if he were ever successful in bringing back his wife and child in their most previous state they wouldn't know him.
ELDER MONKUNDETERMINEDJULIANNE MOORE
Despite being extremely cunning and resourceful, Bancroft has always used her appearance as a crutch to get along in the world. As a young woman she was a very falsely charming witch, flitting about society of the day making good impressions and connections, looking for that one that would cement herself into the highest echelons of society. She learned, however, that her power over people was seemingly fading as she grew older as she was snubbed publicly by a suitor in favor for her younger sister. Bancroft found her own means to deal with this problem, turning to black magic and murder of the youth to maintain hers. It was ever so satisfying to outlive that suitor.
EXECUTIONER MONK TWENTY-NINEJARED LETO
Riding on reputation a good deal, Yates' magic is actually weaker than your typical monk and he feels that a good deal. As such, he is embittered. Add in Virdee who seems to be on her way to being more powerful than he'll ever be within months, there is the chance of some inner turmoil among the monks. The reputation he runs on, however, is certainly a dire one. He is strong in one magical subject and that is why he holds his rank. Yates does the dirty work for a dirty order, taking care of targets that have done too much to hurt them.
INNER CIRCLE MONKTHIRTY-NINESHILPA SHETTY
Virdee wormed her way into the Inner Circle quite quickly due to her knack for prophecy. She uses what she sees for her own advantage but, once in a while, she'll see things that she most definitely doesn't want to come to pass. In those instances, her allegiance goes to whoever it is that will help her assure her way of life is kept safe enough, even so much as enlisting Institute assistance without letting them know it's her, of course.
SUMMONER MONKTHIRTY-SEVENSHARON DEN ADEL
Hathaway is not a loyal woman and she is okay with that. Most of the Monks know this and are wary of sharing information with this member who is there solely for the things that she can do for the order. She expects no loyalty to herself from them either save for need. The only loyalty she expects and demands to have is from who it is she raises. She is possibly the most powerful witch in existence when it comes to summoning and controlling demons, light and dark alike and, when she wants allegiance she will get it or there will be consequences as, while she is not loyal, she is ruthless.
ELDER MONK UNDETERMINEDNORMAN REEDUS
A Vampire instead of a witch like most Monk members, Carmondy took over his current role in something of a coup d'état against the monks at his time of joining. They were also very delicious. Since this occurrence, Carmondy has been in power and has ruled through a different set of fear than Monks and their supporters are accustomed to but they appreciate his effectiveness. He, too, is appreciative, as being in control has given him many more freedoms and has caused him to be bold in his attacks, feeling he is immune to a great many things. He is highly offended by Twilight, however.
INNER CIRCLE MONK UNDETERMINEDTRICIA HELFER
A succubus summoned along with her former companion and incubus Donne by a none too willful summoner, the two were able to overpower and kill the witch in what had been the practitioner's first test of magic involved in the joining of the Monks. This made Fairbairn and Donne extremely popular with the other guests as they had managed to make what could have been a tedious party welcoming in an apparently weak member much more entertaining. Fairbairn has been a mainstay in the Monks ever since, Fairbairn and Donne eventually quarreled due to her dalliance with Carmondy and she expelled Donne from the Monks.
INNER CIRCLE MONKFORTY-SEVENLAURENCE FISHBURNE
With a talent of invading others' dreams, Keats isn't open about that particular gift, instead seeing just how useful of a tool it can be to unnerve ally and enemy alike. While still involved in politics as the majority of Inner Circle monks are, Keats prefers a quieter role behind the scenes as he has discovered he can get away with more when he is not in the spotlight for either politics or the Monks. There is more leeway and influence along the sidelines for him. He can slip below notice.
LIAISON MONKSEVENTY-TWOGEOFFREY RUSH
Father Masters is akin to a drug dealer only with holy relics. If he had, perhaps, paid a bit more attention in seminary school he would have seen that his natural tendency towards greed might lead him down a bad path but, to be truthful, his time in seminary was mainly done in order to sate some of that greed, knowledge in that case. He is very learned in theology, religious mythology, and his favorite hobby, relics. He hides himself well and, despite having to smudge some clerical work to make it seem that his daughter was conceived before he became a priest, would seem to the general public as being a morally upright man and not overly mysterious at all. He keeps himself well hidden and is not at all happy that his granddaughter, Aronson, is involved with the Institute, putting his secret status as a Monk with them in peril.

A rather eccentric woman, Darrow is very good friends with Norris. She makes her living teaching at the University of London as well as being a clairvoyant for hire. Being the spunky woman she is, she enjoys having a good drink and some fun. She has been known to assist the Veritas Institute on occasion but that's only if they pay her enough to do so.
CIVILIAN-FREELANCE HUNTERTHIRTY-FIVEBRYAN AUSTIN GREEN
Trengrove has a very shoot first, don't ask questions approach to things and has been in trouble with the Institute for it often. Raised by two hunters, Trengrove hasn't had the easiest of a life. He is only ever out for number one and doesn't care about anybody else. If someone gets in his way, God help them. He has butted heads with the Veritas Institute for a few years now and he can't really stand them. He doesn't get why they don't just shoot anything that isn't human as he finds that philosophy works great.
CIVILIAN-PROFESSORSEVENTY-SEVENDAME MAGGIE SMITH
A brilliant mind, Norris has taught at the University of London for over forty years. A very prim exterior hides a woman who loves to have fun with her best friend Darrow. She has little patience for stupidity, and is a very stern woman when the need arises. She is absolutely ecstatic that her grandson Brooks has been back in London for the past three years after an incident at his old college. Even though Norris is knowledgeable about the supernatural, she has no idea about her grandson being a werewolf.
CIVILIAN-POLICE OFFICERTHIRTY-FIVEVIENNA TENG
A very nose to the grindstone type of person, Archer believes in doing your job, and doing it extremely well. She is a no nonsense type of woman who hardly ever takes help from anyone except her partner Rowe. Even though they seem to get most of the strange and seemingly unsolvable cases, Archer doesn't believe all the hype that something more is going on with them. And she's starting to get annoyed with this Veritas Institute getting in her way.
CIVILIAN-POLICE OFFICERTHIRTY-TWOTAHMOH PENIKETT
Archer's partner and the one who is very open to new ideas, Rowe has always been the accepting one. He thinks there has to be more out there than just what is right in front of his eyes. Very good at his job, Rowe is one of the best cops in the department and knows how to defend himself quite well. He also has a very restrained but quick temper that sometimes can put him at odds with levelheaded Archer.
Leaving Australia for Canada, Donne’s main priority is to now get back at Fairbairn for leaving him. After you have been together for as long as they have, you get attached. Donne loves to cause as much chaos and mayhem as possible; that includes having as much fun as possible. Being the incubus that he is, it’s only natural for him. He wants nothing more than to either rip Fairbairn limb from limb, or get back together with her. Either one is good for him.
A rather clueless librarian, McLeary is a very naïve girl who has always had a knack for getting herself in tight situations. She works at a very prestigious library and has been working there for the last few years. What the girl doesn’t know is that her place of employment houses some of the most accurate and useful magical tomes available. They are powerful pieces of magic, and McLeary has absolutely no idea what they do.
CIVILIAN-NEW AGE SHOPKEEPERTHIRTY-TWOGINA TORRES
Spacey and unreliable she is nevertheless a good supplier of many mythical remedies and objects, of which she gets threatened by Father Masters a good deal. She knows the objects she sells are magical, but she honestly has no idea what they actually do. She is definitely more of an Earth Mother sister Moon sort of person who very much believes that goodness shall overcome all. But she has no clue half of her clientele are members of the Monks of Medmenham. Though she has no real alliance with anyone, she just really cares if they pay.
A rather loud and boisterous man, Auttenburg is one of the leading experts on folklore in the UK. He is incredibly annoying to… well anyone who comes in contact with him, but they put up with him for his knowledge. He knows members of both sides, and personally likes the Veritas Institute way more. Mostly because they take him out to lunch from time to time.
CIVILIAN-WEREWOLF ALPHAFIFTY-SIXTOM WAITS
Stephens is the leader of one of the largest packs of werewolves in the UK today. He hates any outsiders and considers his pack the most powerful. He is ever set in his ways and stubborn as can be. He has settled his pack north, just within the agreed boundaries set with the Veritas Institute. Though, since there has been a string of in-town attacks that all the clues are pointing to his pack, Stephens has had to constantly defend his pack.
