How to Play:
Dark Thirst is an Underworld based TCG which works similar to a real life trading card game (this is a non battle card game). I hope to expand this TCG into other vampire related movies. The goal is to try to get all the cards in your deck of choice to master it. There are many different ways to gain cards to help you towards this goal of mastering (see 'gaining' below). You may however play to collect all the cards that feature you favourite character if you wish.
Each normal deck contains 20 cards total and each special deck contains 10 cards. Normal decks contain normal cards. Special Decks contain Special cards.
Apart from Normal and Special cards there are Rare cards chucked in randomly into decks. Rare cards are extra cards in a deck not need for you to master the deck. Rare cards contain the text 'RARE' instead of a card number.
Alternate cards can also be found for certain cards. Alternate cards are different version of an already existing normal card. Alternates can be used instead of their ordinary counterpart in mastering a deck. Both are not required.

Card Worth and Rankings:
Rare cards are worth three normal cards (or one/two if you are desperate enough in a trade!).
Alternate cards and Special cards are worth two normal cards.
As you gain more and more cards you will go up in ranking status. The more cards you get the higher your rank and the more people will want to trade with you! When you join you will receive 2 cards from your series of choice and 6 random cards.

Getting Started : This TCG is forum based. To play you are required to become a member of this forum. This whole game is configured to be played entirely in forum, eliminating the need for members to have their own site to display their cards. Of course you are free to display your cards on a site instead of the forum if you wish. You just place a link to your site from your TCG Profile.
After registering you will need to fill out the Join form to become a registered TCG member and recieve a starter deck.

Post Points (or Posts) : Your post count in the forum is used as money here. You earn Post Points by posting in certain forums, using your trade log and winning certain games. Your Post points can then be used to purchase cards in the TCG Store. The selection of Cards for sale varies monthly.

Rankings : Rankings based on card accumulation (Rare, Alternate and special cards count as only one card)

Servant : 1-35
Death Dealer : 36-90
Lord : 91-120
Elder : 121-250
Hybrid : 250+

You can display your ranking by placeing one the rank badges in your profile and/or you forum sig. Badges can be found in the TCG Store.
When you go up a ranking you recieve 2 random cards from the deck of your choice.
PM me with the message title 'Level Up' to claim your cards. Include your new level and your choice of deck.



GAINING AND TRADING:

Trading : There are many ways to gain and earn cards to help you master your desired deck(s). One way to do so is of course trading with other members. When trading simply email/PM the person you desire to trade with. When you have traded with someone, remove the traded card from your page and log it on your trading log!

Games : You can gain a majority of your cards by playing in the games located under the game section. Some games are harder then others thus the amount of cards will be awarded based on the difficulty level

Referrals : When you refer a member you will gain 2 random cards, so be sure those referrals mention you!

Birthdays/Freebies : You will get 2 cards of choice (1 platinum, 1 normal) and 2 random for your birthday! We will send you an email around the time of your birthday. Ocassionally I will place up cards that are free to grab. First in to PM me with the card they want gets it.

Buttons : When you make a button you get 1 random card and 2 if it is animated. You can only submit buttons 2 times a month. Buttons must be 88x31 and say 'Dark Thirst' or 'Underworld TCG'.

Leveling Up : When you reach the next ranking level send in the Level Up form to gain 2 random cards from the deck of your choice (you get an extra choice card for leveling to Hybrid). This is however your responsibility to tell for we can't keep track of everyone!

Card Exchange : You can trade in cards for a random card of the same face value. This is further explained on the exchange page in the TCG Store.

Mastering : When you master a deck cards (Normal Deck(20) and Special Deck(10)) you will gain 3 random cards and 2 cards of choice (1 Alternate, 1 Normal). You will also get a series master badge to show your Master Status. Once you do master simply fill out the master form or PM me with the message title 'Mastering' and include the deck(s) you've mastered. Furthermore, It is up to you if you wish to keep the mastered cards up on your site or take them down to simply show your master status with the master card (preferred way). However, once you mastered a deck you CANNOT trade those cards.

Trade Log : Please keep a trading log. Yes, they can be annoying but they help you and others keep track of trades which have happened. It also gives you post points ^^ and helps stop cheating.

For the record, my favorite series is 'Mansion'.
