History

A small Island that has yet to be inhabited completely by humans lies off the side of Africa. The Islands name is Jreigra. It is filled with different types of scenery, whether it be the tall, snowy mountains or the hot desert. Which ever one your character inhabits, beware, for this is no ordinary Island. It once flourished with creatures from the birds which sang and the monkeys which swung from tree to tree. Strangely, in the Northern parts, wolves remained. But after a while, as the humans grew smarter with their metal flying machines and their big, heavy boats, they began to explore. On radar systems they had found an unknown source with energy and heat coming from it. So what do they do? The only things that have lead to the known countries of the world. They explore. So that’s what they did, they explored and travelled. The Scientists were mixes of the best students from Oxford University in England, to the best students from Harvard University in America. They met together in Zimbabwe, the South of Africa and from there travelled on a Helicopter to search for the Island. Of course they found it, but no drama was involved and they simply landed, intrigued by the wildlife here. It had never been found, it was new and it was untainted by human’s pollution. So the scientists decided to tame it, make it there own, something to be proud of. First, they brought new scientists, capturing the wolves and bringing over new species, like cat for instance. They also brought very few people over, which made new people, children. This is where the scientists grew more ambitious, though it was a cruel thing to think of and a cruel way to act. Unbeknown to the women which were pregnant, links were taken from the DNA and inserted were that of three types of animal. Cats or ‘Big’ cats. Wolves. And Birds. A deadly enemy and a deadly effect. The babies which were born were NOT normal. A very clear description is needed.

-Wolves (or Lyhenth as they are known) are known to have a thick layer of greyish fur (or whatever type of wolf) and quite a muscled build. They also had a very wolf looking face, with a long muzzle and pointed ears. Lyhenth are have vast amounts of energy and are great at long distance running with there high stamina. They are great at following a hunt and the ‘pack instinct’ has been embedded into them as well. Also males vary from females, with males naturally being bigger and stronger than the females, though the females being slightly more flexible and speedy. The males coat is quite thicker than the females and they are bulkier. The eye colour varies from amber, jade, icy blue, grey and a brown. In human legend they may have been known as a werewolf, but that was legend and this is reality. Lyhenth can communicate with the wolves of the Island.

- Cats (or Bradre as they are known) they had a layer of fur covering all of their body, two cat like ears protruding from their skull. Their face was not human either, it was cat like, with whiskers and basically it was a cat that had a figure of a human. A long tail also hung from the bottom of its spine and it had claws that they could extend and retract. They are a mysterious group of creatures and are very curious. Males and females look a lot different; the males are heavier built, though still swift. They are useful for hunting and fighting, although males and females both hunt and fight. The females are better at hunting smaller prey, for they are smaller and more streamlined than the males. Most female Bradren have blueish coloured eyes and the males had green, though this (again) depends on what type of cat you want your Bradre to be. Bradre can communicate with the native Cats on the island.

- Birds (or Alentain) have a human figure and are the least affected. Nothing is different... apart from the fact they have at least fifteen foot wings sprouting from their backs. It's an odd mix, for they have the same intelligence as humans but also know how to move in communication with the others of their kind. They are basically humans with wings although they have the same hatred burning through them as with the Bradre and the Lyhenth. Male and females don't vary much, apart from males usually have a little longer, bulkier wings than the females; which have thinner, swifter wings. There wings also vary colouring to whatever bird gene was put into them. They can comminicate with the native birds to the Island.

They are the three different creatures that were created and were born to this Island. Of course, not all babies were inserted with this strange gene, only some and the ones which weren't lived fairly normal lives. The ones which were, were kept in captivity, fed and watered just enough not to die, but not enough to live by. Well, not to live properly. The scientists didn't want to spend more money than they needed to on the 'mutants'. The mothers weren't to bothered about seeing there 'children' almost dying and kept in captivity. They didn't realise that the very ones who brought them here were the ones who made their children like that. Not that they bothered asking anyway. As the Mutants grew, they grew stronger to, being able to communicate with each other in a much higher level than humans. The simple flick of an ear, the twitch of a tail or a blink of an eye meant a lot more to them than talking. But the scientists were smart and so they seperated the different species from being together.

Over the years, when most mutants were around ten to thirteen in human years, they planned an escape. It wasn't easy, the different species had to communicate by making a complex sequence of callings to each other. It was easier than using there natural tongue, English, when they could speak to each other without the Scientists having any idea what they were saying. Of course, they just looked like they were all making a strange noise. But, no, they were actually communicating, planning a time to crash the gates and escape. So they did and it was a magnificent sight. All of them at once bombarded there gates when the Scientists came to check up on them. the Scientists were horrified, then turned and ran, not even checking that any of the humans were safe. Most weren't caught, but the ones which were, were going to be killed. Most of the human inhabitants agreed, but some did not, they said that they were still part human and that they could not be killed. The Scientists did it anyway.

When they had escaped completely from the Labs (scientists) the seperate species parted there ways. They knew they would meet again by chance, so there was no need to say goodbye. The Lyhenth migrated to the North and thats where they remain now. Every now and then they raid the Scientists base to get new clothes, along with the Alentain and Bradren who do the same too. The Alentain remain anywhere they want, being able to fly long distances. Some were so ambitious that they thought of flying away from the Island, but they didn't know where to go. Though they did have a plan to steal some maps from the Scientists, figuring they could work out where to go. The Bradren live at the South of the Island, inhabiting the beautiful forests and great waterfalls. They often meet up with the others, or the Chiefs do, to arrange Raids, Meetings, Annual Festivals and many more.

Now it's your choice. Who will you be? An innocent human, or maybe a terrible scientist? Or maybe you want to live out in the wild, flying free and feeling the cold mountain air? Go on, decide and try and live in this strange... cruel world.

Some creatures have discovered the ability to change into complete human form, strange as it seems, it is true.
