I deeply regret that I am sending this request via letter, but something rather large has come up at work which I simply cannot be pulled away from. I am sure you will understand.

Our time spent together has been most pleasurable for me, and, if I am not mistaken, you also enjoy my company. As I understand it, we agree on most critical issues. Our courtship, though interrupted by your forray onto the Hogsmeade Trail, has been altogether the most agreeable thing I could imagine, and not being able to pay you a visit for the past few days (again, due to sudden developments in the Ministry), has really secured the notion in my mind that I wish never again to go so long without your company.

Miss Calliope Browne, please do me the honor of making me the happiest of men and becoming my wife.

Your parents have consented to the match already. I wait eagerly for your response. Please do not keep me waiting long.

The honour would be all mine in becoming your wife. I see no reason to prolong any suspense when there is only one conceivable answer in my mind - yes. I will. I would love to.

I certainly do enjoy your company; I have savoured every minute of it. The ring is perhaps the most beautiful thing I have ever seen, and I shall wear it with pride. All your thoughtfulness is certainly enough to forgive your absence - well, no, that is a lie, it obviously can't quite match your presence - but oh, of course I understand how busy you must be. And I adore the gifts.
