EVENT ANNOUNCER - ROUND 4 After Alexander's ankle is healed as best as possible, your group decides to continue upward - much more carefully. It is near midnight and a thick layer of snow is all around you. However, you are able to find a cave for shelter. Just as you settle in and build a small campfire for warmth, you hear distant roaring. Do you go back out into the cold to find the cause of the roar or do you head farther back into the cave so that you're more difficult to find?

Maximilian wasn't scared, they had a dragonkeeper with them, after all. However, he didn't really feel like finding out the creature that made the roar. "I vote hide out. I don't want to face some dangerous creature, we don't know what it is. We might not be prepared for it."
EVENT ANNOUNCER - ROUND 5 Your group decides to hide out instead of investigate the sound. As you make your way farther back into the cave, you notice stalactites and stalagmites - which means there is dripping water. It's icy and slow going, but even then, you aren't able to evade the ice patches. Roderick and Maximillian slip on ice and fall. Roderick hits his head and is rendered unconscious, while Maximillian manages to catch himself but break his arm in the process. After notifying the Ministry, Roderick is sent home to get medical care. The Ministry also offers to take Maximillian home with them. What does your group decide?
a. Send Maximillian home and continue on b. Keep Maximillian and continue on

Roderick hit his head. Just brilliant. Max was happy he only had a broken arm. They have a healer in their group for something. "Please, don't send me away. Mr Dolohov will fix my arm, right?" Maximillian said. He did not want to be seen as a coward.

The strange cave was something to behold and definitely startled Luka, silently, in its grandeur and darkness. He was not used to subterranean regions and felt awkward in this place. The loud sounds caused by the roar could only be a troll, a ogre, an enraged giant or a dragon. Any of which are quite dangerous and it was a good idea to move further into the cave. As they got deeper, he produced a small warming charm on everyone so that they wouldn't get so cold.
The icy surface only bothered and worried Luka as he didn't need any more injuries in the group. Any more would bring a swift end to their expedition and they couldn't serve the Ministry as well. When Roderick and Max hurt themselves it only meant more problems for Alex and Luka. Roderick's return meant less wands and thus less knowledge and experience should more danger befall them. Alex was quite powerful and well-trained, but numbers are always a good thing.
He sat down next to Max carefully, using a flotation charm to gently lower himself and took a look at his broken arm. It was clearly severed harshly at both the joint and the forearm. It would need a lot of healing besides just skill from Luka. He began to slowly mend the broken bones, but his concern grew as he watched over the bones, "I am not sure if it is best for you to stay Max, however, if you really believe you can continue, then stay and continue."

Alex frowned at Max's injuries and remembered the throbbing pain in his leg. Max's arm looked much worse than his own ankle had, it'd be more painful to heal with the bare minimum of equipment the men had with them. "Perhaps you ought to return home, get proper medical attention in a hospital."
EVENT ANNOUNCER - ROUND 6 In the end, Maxmillian is allowed to stay - though the break in his arm is not a quick or an easy heal. It might not even heal properly if he uses it too much or re-injures it. You try to get some sleep, but it is difficult. There are several roars - some closer than others - throughout the night, but none are near enough to really be too much to worry about. In the morning, you set off and continue up the mountain. You travel for three days and are able to find suitable places of shelter each night.
On the afternoon of June 4th, a large shadow flies overhead. You duck inside some shrubbery and get a good view of what just flew over you. Just around the corner from where you stand, is a dragon's nest. Smooth scaled and copper in color, the Peruvian Vipertooth is only fifteen feet long (five meters) and has venomous fangs. The Peruvian Vipertooth is not native to England - someone must have brought them here long ago, perhaps as illegal pets or for breeding. Either way, she has been turned loose into the wild and now you must suffer the consequences. She enters the cave, having not noticed your group, and curls up alongside an unmistakable dragon egg.
If you move carefully, you might be able to avoid her noticing and continue on your journey. However, the price of a dragon egg - an exotic dragon egg no less - is extremely tempting. Do you try to cleverly steal the egg or avoid the dragon entirely?

Alex froze. The looming threat of being killed frightened him terribly. "No one move." He whispered as lowly as possible. "If we stick to the walls and stay as quiet as possible, we might-might make it out of here with our skins still attached to our bones."

Luka didn't really need an invitation to select what the choice would be and nodded silently to Alexander. He looked between them all and whispered softly, "Anyone know any good sensory charms to help hide us? I know won't do a lot of good, but it'll help increase our chances." He watched the dragon, his wand at the ready should he need to go insane with some evocation upon the poor creature. He didn't like to harm anyone or anything, even a dragon. Most dragons were very misunderstood and had this reputation for being evil, cruel, mindless beasts.
As for their real situation, they had wounded members and didn't need very much contest to put them out of commission. His first priority was always to the health and safety of his comrades.

"Let's stay here and keep our voices down." Max said. He was lucky that the arm he broke was not the one he used on daily basis. He needed that money, though. To be his own person and maybe help out Kitty too. "I know some of those." Max answered to Mr Dolohov's question and started to incant the spell/
EVENT ANNOUNCER - ROUND 7 You have chosen to avoid the dragon and leave it well alone. One by one, you make your way through the mountain brush as quietly and nonchalantly as you're able. The dragon seems to be complacent and entirely unaware of your groups presence. It blows on its egg to keep it warm and looks as if it might curl up and take a nap. Thanks to your incantations, your group is able to slip past it. You continue to travel in a southward direction.
On the seventh of June, there's a rumbling noise - one quite unlike that of the dragon. It sounds like something big and not quite right. It is then that you look upward to see that higher up on the mountain, something has caused an avalanche. The tumbling waves of the snow could easily crush you if it were to reach you. The only option is to outrun it, or risk it by burrowing into the already existing snow in an attempt to have it pass over you - but then you'll have to worry about digging yourselves back out as well.

Maxim was happy that they slipped past the dragon. He really did not feel like "playing with fire". However, it seemed they had really bad luck. First Alexander's ankle, then dragon and now this strange noise that could not mean anything good. Upon looking up and discovering the cause, the boy became pale. "I vote....RUNNING AS FAST AS WE CAN!" He said and set his plan in motion.

There wasn't much happiness in evading a dragon to avoid becoming a certain meal for the creature, but it was a necessary step for their survival. After making their way out of the cave, they braved their way through the snow using a mixture of good survival skills and warming charms to keep themselves from absolutely freezing to death. Luckily, everyone had warm cloaks to keep them from getting frostbite, but it still didn't diminish the issue.
Now, they had to deal with another problem. An avalanche is upon them and that was always quite certain to be unfortunate. However, they had assistance even with an avalanche. He looked over to Alex and than the young Max, who was keen on going cuckoo in the face of such adversity, to nod to him, "I suggest we stay put unless someone has something to help with our speed. There's no way to outrun an avalanche, but if we can form a kinetic barrier around our bodies, we can stop from being totally crushed."

"Kinetic energy force? At this rate we were better off in the cave. Luca, if you know how to do such a thing, be my guest, I'm going to start digging though." Alex said, his voice shaking. He had to make it back home to Mia. He had to.
EVENT ANNOUNCER — ROUND 8 Your group decides to combine magic and burying yourselves in the snow in an attempt at survival. Luckily, you're able to get yourselves in a stable enough shelter with packed down snow that it passes right over your heads. However, you're sealed in. Even with magic, it takes nearly a day to get unburied. Claustrophobia and panic are common feelings as you dig yourselves out.
Finally, you emerge into sunlight to find two feet of extra snow on the ground. It's powder-like and impossible to continue to climb in the direction you were headed. Instead, you travel downhill in a southeastern direction. The region becomes much warmer and thins out into a sparse forest that appears to be several valleys shoved together. After three days, you come upon a small clearing. There is a stream with several rock scattered around it, perfect for sitting. It seems to be as good of a place to rest as any, and your group is able to refill your water canteens.
