BURGLARY IN HOGSMEADE THE CRIME RATE IN HOGSMEADE RISES

It seems that thievery has lately come settled in our city of Hogsmeade. The number of houses that were lately broken into has risen considerably during the last two months. There has been recorded an increasing number of things missing from the houses of the most wealthy residents of Wellingtonshire. It seems that the thieves have a certain fondness for works of art, as most of the residents, including Mr. de Havilland and Mr. Etter have been deprived of some of their priceless paintings. Other citizens have also reported priceless artifacts missing from their houses. The number of the burglaries has been reported to have risen up four times! With that disturbing news how are we, respectable citizens, supposed to feel safe in our houses? _____________________________________________________________

We have decided to talk to the Minister of Magic regarding the matter and received the following statement: “It is astonishing to me that such a close community can have so much trouble with this dishonesty. I urge anyone with information to bring it to a law enforcement official, and that Wellingtonshire residents be extra-vigilant in the protection of their homes and property.” From ourselves we can only urge the members of the elite of our society to cast some extra protective spells, to ensure the safety. ON HIS SISTER'S BEHALF MRS. VOLKOV'S BROTHER SPEAKS OUT

To the readership of The Daily Prophet, I will begin by admitting that I knew of my sister’s circumstances, and, though I voiced my opinions on the matter to her, I did not see fit to spread the news about. She is, after all, my sister, and she entrusted herself to my care. As such, I have played a part in her deception, for which I apologize. Nonetheless, while I do not agree _____________________________________________________________

with my sister’s choices, I know that her motivation was just, and cannot condemn her misguided attempts to set her life the way it ought to have been. I will not discuss details, as her private life is a family matter, but if anything, recent days should have taught you all that to lie is as easy as to breathe. THE VAN HELSINGS ARRIVED IN HOGSMEADE THE TIME TO FEAR VAMPIRES HAS COMES TO AN END

It seems that the time for the vampires hiding around in Hogsmeade has finally come to an end. There is no longer any need to fear about your safety when you're going out in the night. Upon reading in our newspaper the reports of the crimes that were most likely committed by vampires, the famous Abraham Van Helsing had decided to move with his family into our town to ensure the safety of our citizens. Mr. Van Helsing is not only a renowned vampire hunter, but also a man with a wide range of interests and accomplishments. It should be noted that he has seven daughters with his late wife and is now expecting the eighth _____________________________________________________________

child with his second spouse. Two of the daughters have already left Hogwarts and await their wedding days. The fourth oldest daughter of Mr. Van Helsing, Miss Roxanne Adelaide Van Helsing, is currently on her fifth year at school. She has managed not only to gain a prefect function, but also to secure a respectable marriage. Her a year younger sister awaits her private coming out ball, which in the Van Helsing family takes place shortly after the 15th birthday. The last two of the sisters are on their first and third year. With that amount of future vampire hunters in our town we can finally feel safe again. Written by Yente Ventus
