The rules have been adjusted for round 2! Please specifically take note of the following new OOC rules: 3. Do not state how your action will end, but rather what is intended. That way, when the point is determined then you can post the results of your actions in a way that fits with the scoring.
5. Matches will not be revived under any circumstances so that one match does not hold up the entire tournament. Keep an eye out for your thread to be posted! Students, Round 2Adults, Round 2Round 2 takes place on March 16

Has anyone suggested possibly having separate "brackets" for males and females, perhaps, so that male/female duels are at least slightly more rare? That way they would only occur when absolutely necessary. I'm not particular bothered by it, but it seems like most of our characters are, IC. A lot of what I see in duel posts is "Bah I'm paired against a girl again boo" or "I'm moderating another guy/girl duel how boring ugh."

Yeah, perhaps duels for the menfolk, and "exibitions" or some such for the ladies?

Please don't take anything ET says in-character to mean anything. (As I did that in my duels) For ET unless you were a mirror image of himself (or maybe Antigone or Solange as he might have a soft spots) he would say how boring as he sees no one equal to himself. For the two girls he might get distracted and still think he is better, but he wouldn't be bored.
Though perhaps both men and women having dummies when they are against each other would be good. After all, dummies can be decorated. I'm ok with men having to exhibit skill and control with wand work, even if IC my character doesn't appear that way as it brings another element of creativity.
