[Henry Russel]

"Yep, it's dragon pox" Henry said with his strong American accent, on which a few of his patients complained, after few minutes of examination. Greenish skin and bumps on it, sparks from nostrils while sneezing. Almost typical case of dragon pox.

It wasn't a curse, like a man before him claimed to be. Healer Russel had no idea why he told healers in the Artifacts Injuries that the cup from which he drunk his daily cup of tea was cursed. Good that healer Blackburn had enough brain in her head to came with this patient to the Magical Bugs division. It was obvious that he caught some bug rather than a curse. Seeing scared expression on the man's face, Henry smiled and patted his shoulder friendly. "Don't worry, buddy. It's not so bad. We have a cure for it and I believe you get it in Hogsmeade or here in our apothecary." Henry sit by his desk and picked a piece of clean paper and started to write down the prescription. After few minutes the healer handed it to a patient. "Take two dozens of a potion. One before breakfast and one before dinner. Remember to wash your clothes every day and stay away from children. In that stadium is highly contagious." The man nodded willingly and left them as soon as his legs carried him away. Henry shook his head in disbelieve. Englishmen were so strange sometimes.

Healer Russel turned his gave off the door and looked at his co-worker. He smiled friendly to her. "Would you like to drink a cup of tea with me, miss Blackburn?" he asked, pointing his wand at a jug of water. "I'd like to have a short break before I come back to work and you look like you need a cup of tea too."

He's Everything I ever wanted

The man had been nothing short of difficult.  He came in demanding to see one of the artifacts healers because of a cup.  A cup that wasn't even an artifact.  The cup was just some polished copper with a few older gems on it.  It wasn't an artifact in the sense that she was used to dealing with.  He wouldn't even give her his name until she explained her station and promised to listen to his case even though he was clearly in the wrong division of the hospital.

"Thank you for that Mister Russell, he was most demanding." It took three hours before he allowed her to go and see if she could get another healer to assist her.  Selina was a more than adequate healer, but she couldn't handle patients that wouldn't cooperate with her.  She got enough of that from Remus.

She wondered if Remus found out her birthday passed without acknowledgement.  He'd be furious, the man loved adorning her in extravagant jewelry and gowns, and he fact that such a prime opportunity slipped through his fingers - oh bloody hell Remus would be angry.  He'd possibly become angry over the idea of her taking tea with another man. Henry was her coworker though and Remus did not own her. She would never go back to being owned.  "Tea would be lovely.  It settles your nerves after dealing with someone like that."

Henry smiled to her, trying to find another cup in his box. He didn't unpack his stuff just yet, because his superiors threw him into work as soon as his name appeared on the door of his office. And suddenly he found out that it wasn't a provincial private practice as he thought it was. Once again he found himself working full twenty four hours and sleeping on the couch in corner of his office.

"Take your seat" he offered, waving his hand toward the couch. Water in the jug started to stream and he could hear quiet burble inside. "Do you want sugar or milk?" the healer asked when he finally found another cup and started to polish it with a clean rag. After that he placed on a table in front of her sugar-bowl and small bottle of milk.

His thoughts returned to the patient that just left his office. "Demanding?" he asked, a bit surprised. "A liar. I don't know what he tried to hide. A dragon in his basement? He would end up here anyway." Henry shrugged his shoulders, pouring streaming liquor into their cups. "Here you go" he said, handing a cup to her.

A laugh sprang up from Selina's throat as Henry criticized the patient. They weren't normally allowed to make fun of patients, people got offended too easily and then problems arrived. But that man, had been a lying, demanding, idiotic man. He deserved to be made fun of. "Neither," she spoke in response to his original question, "I don't take neither in my tea."

Selina wasn't used to spending her work time with other healers. There weren't enough of them and there were so many other patients to see. So many people and so little time. "A man of that standing has much to hide. A bit too much though for my liking. I prefer openness in people."

Such a statement was entirely hypocritical due to the face that no one knew of her upbringing. No one knew how her father had abused her or how her family treated her as if she were a servant and not a member of the family. No one knew of her scars - external and internal. Or the nightmares she endured. Selina was a closed off person and she took no shame in that fact. She had a reason to be. Most others didn't.

Healer Russel smiled, hearing her laugh. He liked making people laugh. It was a good thing, healthy. And Henry liked to have fun, maybe too much, because it was the main reason for his father to cut him off money. As she refused sugar and milk Henry sat down beside her, putting cups of tea on a table.

"Does he?" the man asked, slightly amused. "My father is the owner of a newspaper back in America and is used to say that there is no secret which won’t show up in the future." he sighed, thinking about his father. He left America just a couple of weeks ago, but he felt homesick already. He wondered if in home everything was alright.

"There are only few people, who are very open" he shrugged his shoulders. Henry could see her point – nobody wanted to be fooled and betrayed. "We all have secrets. How long are you working here?"

'We all have secrets' he spoke these too accurate words in such a careless demeanor. Selina had an entire country worth of secrets, whether they be concerning her past or her fears or anything. However, she'd never be so careless to tell anyone her secrets. Not even Remus if things progressed that far. Remus certainly had his own secrets that she was in the dark about. Marius' words during Merrymas still resided in Selina's mind - 'Does she know you you really are?'

  Who was he that he couldn't be remotely open about it? And why did such a nonchalant question bother her so? She sipped on her tea and focused on the present rather than her fears over the first man she was courting. Mister Russell smiled at her and she returned it, his American, was it, accent was incredibly charming. "I've been working here since I graduated from Hogwarts. I volunteered here for the first two years and then they took me on as an employee. So I've been here for five years now."

Besides his charming smile, Mister Russell also had a calming nature about him. Like when she was close to him she wanted only to laugh. Not a bad first impression on someone she hadn't known before this day. "And you?"
