Charming's mission consists of three main goals: we offer a mature, safe, supportive and drama-free environment for writers to develop their writing and storytelling abilities; we are dedicated to educate our members on the intricate details of the Victorian Era as well as the Harry Potter Universe to make for fulfilling and accurate storywriting; we have a genuinely welcoming and close-knit community that focuses on quality over quantity and having fun.

We strongly believe in in-character consequences and character development as well as fluidly moving, realistic plot lines. At least two events are going on at any period of time in order to encourage this belief as well as to get our members' muse juice flowing. We seek realism when it comes to the time period and have a device to encourage in-character consequences as well as offer plot development and assistance; our Daily Prophet, which is a staff run and member-submitted in-character newspaper, is the best and most unbiased way to do this.

The authenticity of the period mixed with the fantasy of J.K. Rowling's Potterverse is what makes Charming unique - it has been carefully cultivated, painstakingly thought over and conscientiously analyzed in order to make it as successful of a roleplaying game as possible. The balance between realism and fantasy is our very backbone. The staff's objective is to make unbiased decisions regarding Charming's progression for the betterment and continuation of the game as well as Charming's members.
