Appearance: Libby is a rather handsome fellow with thick and somewhat bouffant hair. His hair seems to alternate between brown, ginger, and blonde. When he was born, he was blonde, but soon after became a ginger and immediately after that became a brunette. Libby rarely alters the rest of his physical appearance. He does, however, play with his eye color from time to time. Although he is rather fond of his doe-brown eyes, he finds that certain ladies prefer blue, green, or gray, so on occasion he will tweak them. He has never considered changing his face’s oval shape nor the thickness and color of his brown brows. His straight nose and wide, thickened lips have never suffered any modifications either. His height he is completely comfortable with as he stands at 5’11”. His build is lean and attractive, but he lacks a set of broad shoulders, which would likely make him more considerably handsome by the ladies. Libby is right-handed. He is the only metamorphmagus in his immediate family.
History:
Linus Bastian Winfred Bythesea is the firstborn and first son of Sebastian Bythesea and Birdie Bythesea, born on the very eve of Halloween in Sussex, England. He was born in a comfortable house near the South Downs. It seemed the perfect time to have a child of Libby’s talents. He was born a blonde-haired child, but just hours after his birth his hair turned red and then brown. His parents were quite surprised by this, but, as both his parents were wizards, it didn’t take much research for them to discover what he was: a metamorphmagus. His parents were a little nervous about this as it would likely take Linus some time to master his abilities. He was kept at home and from public assemblies until he was six. By that time he had learned to master his abilities, but, to his parents’ dismay, he tended to “play” with his abilities, changing his hair color and eye color often enough that some of the neighbors became suspicious. They moved from the Sussex to London not long after the suspicions arose, but it wasn’t before all his siblings were born, which Birdie thought was quite fortunate.
As it is not difficult to imagine, Mr. Sebastian Bythesea was not pleased with his son’s antics in nearly exposing himself to the muggle world. Linus was kept under strict supervision until he received his letter from Hogwarts. He was sorted into Gryffindor and spent his years there as the class clown. Although not a shame to his family, he did get in trouble quite a bit and had plenty of detentions, which led to considerable consequences from his father. However, he did mellow during his fifth year and on, finding a “mentor” in an older female student of Gryffindor. Of course, Linus was in love with her, but she was spoken for and upon her graduation, she was married. Linus wasn’t completely embittered by the experience; he did know, after all, that she was to be married. Despite his clownish behavior during his school years, he received top marks on his tests—even before meeting his “mentor.” His parents assumed his behavior was due to his coursework being too easy and he was actually quite intelligent as his grades reflected, but some of the teachers thought his high marks were because he cheated.
Neither the teachers nor his parents were able to prove either assumption until Linus was hired onto the AMRS of the Ministry. He did, indeed, prove to be a very talented wizard with a sharp mind (much to certain professors’ disappointment). He was highly efficient at his work and was, this year, recently promoted to Squad Head, though some at the Ministry of Magic believe he is hardly deserving, due to his callow and inconsiderate humor.
Personality: Libby is a pleasant fellow with happy manners and a good sense of humor. However, sometimes his humor exceeds him. For example, he joined the AMRS because he found that 9 times out of 10 the spells they’re sent to reverse are hilarious. Most often it was simple squabbles between two wizards that caused one’s nose to expand or one to bloat with air and float away. Obviously, his sense of propriety is a little off as he’ll laugh heartily at other’s unfortunate albeit amusing circumstances. He’s a little insensitive and completely oblivious to other people’s feelings, which often leaves him being scolded by his boss or mother. However, like the ratio of mishaps, 9 times out of 10, Libby doesn’t really listen. He thinks he’s a grand fellow and it true, until he wounds someone with his careless manners. Then he’s confused as to why the person is angry at him.
