Appearance: Standing at 5'2", Olive is a thin and slight looking young woman, who is considered a bit 'under developed' and too thin, weighing only about 100 pounds. She has wide, round blue eyes and pouty lips, giving her a sort of baby doll look and is considered a quite odd, but pretty young lady. Her pale blonde hair is collarbone length, wavy and usually held in a high bun. Her state of dress is much like that of most young women of her class, though she prefers plain clothes, most of which she can't wear as they are deemed unsuitable. A notable feature of hers is her two front teeth, which are slightly larger than most. She is left handed. History:In 1865, Olive is born and is for a time the focus of the Lovegood family, given slightly more attention as her age difference from her siblings is somewhat large.
Childhood Her childhood is a happy one, and though a younger brother is born when she is two, she feels no jealousy. Through her childhood, she enjoyed being an older sibling and was an overall happy child. She loved to play with her younger brother and other children, but was always a bit different, tending to be somewhat skittish and absent minded.
Hogwarts Years Sorted into Ravenclaw, Olive quickly gains a reputation for her clumsy, flighty personality.There are very specific aspects of magic in which she excels, but by and large she is prone to magical mishaps. In 1879, her parents died while she was in school and upon leaving she was to live with her eldest brother, along with her younger brother. Presently, she is still doing well in most of her classes, and still maintains her reputation of flightiness and of being a klutz. Magical Skills:Charmwork | One of the basic elements of magic that Olive doesn't somehow mess up is charmwork. She is quite skilled at a vast array of charms and they are the only form of spellwork that she doesn't tend to have mishaps with. On top of being well learned at charms, she is known to experiment with spell-crafting, a dangerous thing on its own, much less for an accident prone young witch. So far, however, she has managed to create a spell or two.
Herbology | When it comes to magical plants and their uses, she is particularly learned. This is why she has a continuing interest in Potions, though she is dreadful at them. She is very knowledgeable on plants and the various effects they can have when used in potions and poisons. Because of this, she has refused to give up in her endeavor to become a competent potioneer. If one needs a hand in regards to plants, Olive is the girl to call.
Beasts and Beings | A rather large area, she is very astute when it comes to the customs, nature and lifestyles of magical beasts and beings. She is very interested in the differences of all the life forms that make up the magical community and as such is extremely well studied on the history and customs of nearly all of them. Because of this, she tends to very easily befriend beasts and beings of various sorts as she understands how to interact with them properly.
In a sense, Olive is a Jack of some trades and master of none. In most cases, she is actually fairly bad at magic. Transfiguration, Potions, Apparation - you name it and she's likely to muss it up somehow. She's good at magic in theory but hasn't the concentration to excel at it in practice, save for her competence in charms. As such, it's not uncommon for her to completely forego using magic the majority of the time. Personality:She is a very sweet and bright young woman, but can tend to be a bit absent minded. She is up in her head a lot, and as a result is prone to be very clumsy, running into things and people. Her flighty personality also makes her interaction with others a little less proper than expected of an upper class young lady, but she is still never purposely rude. She tends to spout off random things when she remembers them, which makes her seem quite odd at times. She is caring and loves her family and friends more than anything, and is always sad when they're sad and hurt when they're hurt. She is sympathetic and loyal. She loves to learn about the world around her and loves to walk around barefoot in plain clothes. She is very fascinated with nature and as such spends a lot of time outside.
