THREAD ROULETTE
Our August event is thread roulette! We had one similar to this back in February for our Valentine's Day event. For those of you who aren't familiar with it, it goes like this:
1. Players sign up.
2. Players are paired for a thread randomly and given a random thread prompt.
3. Players thread with each other!
It's a great way to step out of your comfort zone and come up with ideas, plots and reasons as to why your two characters would meet, what they would do in their particular situation, etc. It's a nice opportunity to not only thread with someone you may have never had the chance to thread with, but it also offers an exciting platform for character development.
Signups last from now until August 4th. On August 5th, a list will go up of your partner and thread prompt. There are no rules or restrictions as to what needs to happen, length, time limit or anything of the sort. It's for creativity and muse juice!
So, if you're looking to have a bit of fun and expand your horizons on Charming - please post as a response to this thread with your name and which character you'd like to signup with.
Note: Unlike the Valentines day event, I ask that you
only sign up with one of your characters. It's a bit less chaotic for me for creating pairings and it's also more likely that you'll get a more creative thread prompt. Instead of a group of words, you'll be given a random line of song lyrics to go off of for inspiration. You can use it literally in your post or as a theme or as a conversation starter or any other way you see fit!
EDIT: I forgot to mention, but those who participate and complete a thread get the participation stamp!
