He chuckled. He tried to think of what team they were playing next but his mind went blank. He had no clue nor did he care. With a smile he said " I doubt they had any to begin with. " As the only team that had dignity on the pitch was his own and only half of it. Seriously half the team could easily disappear and he would not notice there absence.
Even if he had thought of a play for one of the alternates if they made it to the pitch. He was going to try to aim a rather annoying Slytherin towards someone. They would be much larger than a bludger, and hopefully more effective.
Elijah-Thomas said " I've been informed I will be spending some time at the Ministry. My father has requested I do an internship. " Or potentially something less official helping out, as he was certain his presence would be more for showing off than actual work being done. He continued " My family often goes abroad as well. " Though like her nothing specific had stuck.
With a smile he said " I suspect I'll spend a lot of time in London. Unlike some I know how to handle myself. " Seriously the whole moving to Hogsmeade was a joke in his opinion. Yes, the wizarding world had messed up, but that was not his flat.

The key to good eavesdropping is not getting caught
Tig looked forward to the next match perhaps a little more so than she usually did, she couldn't quite understand fully why that was but she accepted readily as the reality. "They ought not to," she agreed.
So he was going to work at the Ministry? Shame, she doubted she could find an excuse to cross paths with him there though it would probably depend what floor he was on and who he was working under... "What department, might I ask?" Antigone did her best to appear a picture of nonchalance as she took a sip of her tea. Perhaps if he was working in a department where her father had an acquaintance or two, she might be able to tag along one day if she could subtly convince him to go.
"London?" she repeated, a little surprised though not exactly shocked either. London was fashionable, after all. "My family live in the countryside, I don't think it is so far away from London," she remarked and then realized what that might sound like to him, as though she was suggesting they meet and while she was by no means at all opposed to that, she wasn't going to let him know that. "And by that, I mean it is an amusing coincidence of course."

Department? To be honest he had no idea what department his father worked for. He knew he should. He said in a rather dull tone " Perhaps I should listen to my fathers blather about work better. " Then he chuckled and said " I tend to tune out my father when he starts talking about work. He got a promotion of some sort recently. "
Which to him was the only important thing about his job that sometimes it made his father seem impressive. Even if he just found it to be a blather.
He was happy to hear someone else resisted the call to Hogsmeade. He found the town much to full, and rather dull. Thankfully he still had London. WIth a smile he said " If you come into the city please send an owl if you have some extra time for tea. "
Then he took another drink and a bite of his pastry. Elijah-Thomas said " Rather certain I don't want to work for the ministry when I grow up. " Looking towards her he debated asking her plans but she was a high enough stature that she would probably be a wife to a lucky man.
Marriage was not a complication he cared about yet. It was a complication that was for his mother to deal with at this point.

The key to good eavesdropping is not getting caught
Tea with Elijah in London? Antigone couldn't deny it was more than she had expected. How she would adore tea with him! And yet, she could not express quite how willing she was. "That would be nice," she remarked calmly, downplaying her excitement with all the effort she could muster, "I shall make sure to do so."
Tig was rather surprised to find that she quite liked the sound of his not wanting to work for the Ministry. She figured all the wizards who did were boring and stuffy anyway, despite the fact it was the normal job choice for those with wealth and circumstance. "What will you do instead?" she asked, genuinely curious to hear his alternate plans. Was he going to go into Quidditch perhaps? Oooh now that she thought about Quidditch players, she fancied she wouldn't mind being married to one.
"If I were a man, I should want to do something exciting like... hunt dragons or maybe even..." she leaned slightly closer to him so she could whisper, "...a pirate." In reality, had she been born a boy then she would almost certain be doing neither as an occupation but she was a girl in possession of an imagination and as both the idea of being male and having a career were both next to impossible, she could make-believe all she wanted.

He smiled pleased that she would hopefully contact him if she were to come to London. Summer could get boring, and knowing she was around would ensure he didn't get in trouble in her presence. Though he said nothing more on it as he didn't want to seem to excited or demanding in his comment. It was so complicated talking to proper ladies like Antigone, it almost made him wish for the less complicated more docile kind.
Though they were not much fun either.
He chuckled. He had little clue what he'd do after Hogwarts. What he wanted to do was to have adventures selling rare antiquities. However he knew that most the things his uncle sold were illegal and he wasn't sure if he wanted to spend his life dealing with such complications. Looking over he said " Not sure. "
Then he listened to Antigone's ideas that were much more interesting than his own. Elijah-Thomas said " Dragons could be interesting." Then he smiled and asked " Have you ever seen one? " then he moved closer to her and said in a whisper " Once when my father was visiting a business partner in another country. " then he moved back to where he was sitting and ate another bite of food.
As for the pirates - they were to boring for him to comment on.

The key to good eavesdropping is not getting caught
Tig noticed his smile and had to hide her own in taking another sip of her drink; he didn't need to think she was a simpering idiot after all. She would leave that to the real simpering idiots in the school.
She contemplated what she would be up to during the summer and apart from doing her best to make a nuisance of herself, she could think of little other excitement. Seeing Elijah would certainly count as a highlight. Perhaps she would get to see Brynn too and maybe Pip but then Pip wasn't exactly meant to be their friend currently, not after the whole incident with her cousin and all.
Unfortunately, or perhaps fortunately for dragons were quite dangerous creatures, Tig had never set eyes on a four legged, scaly, fire breathing monster before. The idea of meeting one rather unnerved her but that was the last thing she was going to admit in front of Elijah-Thomas, she fancied that boys respected fearlessness and so she had to be just that. Fearless. "I've only seen the ones in drawings and in books. Did your father see one?" she asked eagerly, dying to hear some dramatic tale of triumph over a dragon.
