EARL ETHERIUM TO WED ELEORA ASPERHAND ALL ARE INVITED TO LAVISH WEDDING AND RECEPTION IN PADMORE PARK

The wedding of the season has been announced! On the last day of August, Earl Artemidoros Etherium is to marry his long promised bride. Eleora Asperhand, eldest daughter of a wealthy Welsh pureblood family, could not be reached for comment about her upcoming nuptials, but her father had a great deal to say. Fergus Asperhand told this reporter, "My eldest daughter has managed to earn herself a most fortuitous marriage which will benefit the entire family. She has set a shining example for my younger daughters." Despite his words, this reporter has heard rumor that one of the younger Asperhand daughters has already secured a betrothal, although no more details than that were not available. Rumor has it that the wedding will be tastefully decorated in white and green, with flowers and greenery chosen for its meaning. The traditional orange blossoms will be used, and symbolize fertility. present for fidelity. It is rumored the bride will be wearing a Worth gown. The wedding, which is to take place in Padmore Park, is unique in a way that has nothing to do with the bride and groom. In a shocking change from the norm, everyone living in or near Hogsmeade -- including House Elves, Vampires, Centaurs, Goblins, Merfolk, Ghosts, and all other non-humans -- has been invited to attend the wedding and reception. The only exception seems to be giants, as there is a note on the invitation specifying that if any giant manages to get the invitation read to them, they are required to gain special permission from the bride and groom before attending. Even if the wedding were not already worthy to be called the wedding of the year, this interesting turn would make it such. SUMMER SOLSTICE FESTIVAL LEAVING TOWN HAPPINESS AND EXCITEMENT FILLED THE STREETS FOR TWO MONTHS, BUT LUST FILLED NIGHTS LIE BELOW THE SURFACE

There was some admitted and well publicized nastiness near the beginning of the festival, but after things were settled a bright and cheerful mood filled the summer! Despite the overall happy tone that the festival brought to town, there is a darker side to the festival that no one has spoken about ... a side that makes one wonder if the werewolf that attacked was one of the carnival workers. Word has reached this reporter's ears of young ladies losing their innocence to the carnal desires of the carnival workers. While there have been no reports of the men, as big and brawny as many of them are, forcing themselves on the women of our fair town, there have been reports of broken promises and shattered virtue. In addition to young ladies being devastated by the presence of the muscular carnival workers, many girls of breeding seem to have forgotten themselves in the light of the festivities. Many young women were seen wandering the fairway with gentlemen of our very own Hogsmeade, and completely unchaperoned! All propriety has been forgotten, and some of those young gentlemen have been seen alone in the company of two ___________________________

and three different young women. This is no isolated incident, but rather something that has been seen occurring on a near daily basis, much to this reporter's shock and dismay. Besides the horrors that this carnival has presented to our most innocent and previously eligible young ladies, our children have also been put at risk. Were the presence of a bawdy burlesque show not enough, young children and Hogwarts students have been seen stowing away with the festival's attractions to stow away with the show. They are stealing our children! And were that not devastating enough, at least two of the carnival workers have stayed to further pollute our fair village. One is a child, attending Hogwarts with our innocent babes, and the other is to teach at the school so that they may infect every one of our children with the carnival's carnality! Something must be done. Our town has been corrupted, our maidens deflowered, and our children are to be taught the sinful ways of carnival life in the hallowed halls of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry!
