Etana rarely went to London, especially after Hogsmeade was founded, but she needed ideas for the flowers on her wedding day and the only florist shop she knew of was located in Diagon Alley. It wasn't as big as some of the muggle florist shops, but it had a lot of magical flowers and it would be able to deliver the flowers to a magical wedding. Etana was still not sure if she would pursache them from that shop, but she still needed ideas so when she found a free day between wedding dress fitting and discussing every single detail with her mother, Etana decided to take her chaperone and floo to Diagon Alley.

The shop was not very hard to find, a fact that Etana was grateful for. She hadn't visited the place for a long time and the last thing she needed was to end up somewhere that ladies weren't supposed to wander. The shop was large and was by far the most bright coloured one around. Etana and her chaperone entered in and the girl was pleasantly surprised to see that they had enchanted it that way so it looked like a garden. Etana asked one of the employees for the section with the most suitable flowers for weddings and then headed that way.

She quickly find out that she couldn't pick just one or two flowers, but she would have to as she didn't want her wedding to seem cheap with too many flowers. Baby's Breath was beautiful with an equally beautiful meaning. Calla Lillies were also quite magestic, though Etana wasn't entirelly sure about them. The Lilly of the Valley was beautiful and it symbolized happiness. White peonies were also something Etana would pick in an instant.

"Oh, what to choose, what to choose..." Etana murmured to herself with a sing-song voice and was surprised to hear the person near her make a suggestion!

The flowers were rather transcendentally beautiful although Helena flattered herself that she - with the aid of her trusty gardener - could grow things of equal beauty and without the aid of magic. That being said there was something wonderfully extravagant about actually purchasing flowers that she enjoyed. John thought she was mad but then men, in her experience and exempting the excellent Mr Kemp, seldom understood flowers in quite the same way that women did. And so she found it enjoyable every now and then to escape from Hogsmeade and come to London for a greater variety of shops because Helena truly did find it wonderful the sort of things muggles thought they needed and displayed down Bond Street – really, it was like looking endlessly at children’s toys! – and inevitably when she was bored or annoyed with the muggles she always found her way to Diagon Alley.

It wasn’t what it had once been of course, but the florist that was left had taken advantage of the lack of competition and was a splendid diversion for a little while. It appeared she wasn’t the only one who thought so too and she watched the pretty girl examining lilies and had an inkling that she knew the girl from somewhere – the club perhaps? It seemed likely although Helena seldom went despite paying for her membership meticulously. She overheard the girl mumbling her indecision and stepped closer.

“Is it for a wedding? Lilies are lovely but a tad morbid for such an occasion I always suppose. Besides,” she smiled gently. “A girl like you could quite easily wear roses without them seeming typical I’m quite sure.”
