June 16th
Yoshirou had not lingered long at the previous evening’s ball, and so felt particularly well-rested—his day had been spent exploring the marketplace and relaxing in his tent, with a quick fly around the pitch for good measure. Now, he had returned to the pitch, this time as a spectator as Egypt and Britain took flight, surrounded in the stands by his teammates and sister, whom he had thought would have more fun watching the game with the Japanese National Team than remaining in the tent with Otousan.

Thus far, the game was going well—in spite of the poor weather, the teams seemed to be evenly matched, with Britain only up by one goal. Though he was keen to relax with his comrades, Yoshirou paid particular attention to the movements of the keepers, in case he should face them in the finals. It would certainly give him an edge, to know what to expect from them!
There is no post order and unless specified, all dialogue is in Japanese.

Kenshin rather enjoyed the game so far. It was only the weather that troubled him. There was rain in Japan, but everyone said how Britain was used to it. Hopefully, if they made it to the finals along with Britain and it rained it wouldn't give Britain an advantage.

Arthur Pettigrew scored and Kenshin followed the Egyptian who got the quaffle with his eyes. He then passed it to Miss Pasha who attempted to score but Longbottom blocked it. "He's good." Kenshin commented. Hopefully, Japan's keeper would be better than him.

Despite her brothers' involvement and her best intentions, quidditch had never been something Hitomi had been particularly interested in, however, since it was the entire premise of their visit to Britain in the first place, she was not going to stay back at the tent for the match. Besides, she enjoyed spending time with her brothers, she hardly got to see them, so she sat quite happily between them, eyes fixed on the match. She'd read up on the sport and knew the rules, but it didn't pique her interest all that much.

She nudged Daisuke with her shoulder, he was so enthralled it amused her. Tomi couldn't comment on the caliber of the teams, as she really didn't know how to judge the quality. She could only hope her countrymen played stronger than either of the teams on the pitch at the moment.

"It's very exciting." She added, by way of contributing, but not having much to offer.

Sora eagerly watched the match. As the captain, he felt it was his duty to pay close attention to every move that both teams made. It was difficult, as there were so many things going on at once. He hoped that his teammates were keeping track of how the other teams played as well - it would not do to miss the opportunity of being prepared. He was confident that Japan would face the winning team in the quidditch finals.

"He is," He agreed with Kenshin, "But not as good as our chasers. The child beater is an obvious weakness." He pointed toward Kirke as he flew past them. "Our country would never use an inexperienced player that is still a student."

“I think the student is to be replacing a woman as well,” Yoshirou added with some measure of disdain, having been treated to the official roster at breakfast—his father might not have been the most nurturing parent, but at least he was happy to translate information on the competition. “I almost hope Britain wins, for it would surely give us an easy victory.”

Japanese women did not play quidditch, and so there was not one to be found on their national team. While Yoshirou supposed their small statures might be an asset in a seeker—the Egyptians, he noted, had a girl in that role—but for any other position he thought them entirely ill-suited (and even on the seeker, it was not an opinion he would be comfortable). Imagine how shocking it would be if a young girl such as Hitomi were to think of playing!

Daisuke was quite happy to watch the game and judge both the British and the Egyptians. He was seated next to Hitomi and near Yoshirou, and was engrossed in trying to spot the familiar golden flash of the snitch at the same time - or before! - the players did.

It was his sister nudging his shoulder that shook Dais out of his reverie. "Very," he said. "I can't wait until our team is out there." He wouldn't be, unless Sora got himself injured. Daisuke decided that wasn't a very nice thing to hope for.

"Even beyond that," he added, "What self respecting player gets themselves injured right before a World Cup match? It's disgraceful. If I were her - or that third chaser they mentioned's - teammate..."

Tomi looked at her hands in her lap as she listened to her brothers and their teammates discuss the British players. While she knew she shouldn't have much of an opinion on the matter, she found their words to be very condescending, who said women or students were not good enough? She happened to be both and she was a little offended. Surely, she was not playing quidditch any time soon, but they could not think so lowly of such players. It required the same amount of dedication and heart to play, no matter your gender or your age.

Still, she knew it was not her place to say anything, so she turned her eyes toward the sky, watching the match as the conversation continued. Leaning her head on Daisuke's shoulder, she tuned them out, thinking it best for her to feign disinterest.

This game was getting rather brutal fast and while both teams seemed to be struggling in the rain, which was understandable, but Tomi was pretty sure that at least the British players should be used to it, honestly how often did they get rain in Egypt?

He was watching for movements. The score, and number of hits did not manner to him all that mannered were the movements. Were they fluid like a rake going thru sand in circles of patterns that always seemed to connect. Or were they sudden like the blossom suddenly blooming in the gardens.

He smiled as one of his team mates mentioned wanting to be on the pitch. He quite agreed, even if he was a second string player who probably wouldn't ever leave the bench. Then he said simply " They lack patience. " in his normally quiet tones.

Sora listened to his teammates speculate. He nodded in agreement. They were right in their thinking. Quietly, he watched the game unfold. It was an exciting game, and even though he was not rooting for either team, he found himself on the edge of his seat. Quidditch was quidditch. He could not hide the passion he had for it, even if it wasn't his own team out on the field.

"We'll need a strategy," He said decisively, "Take France's chasers out. The females - they're the weakest. Our beaters need to be relentless." It might have been a rough viewpoint, but if they didn't want to be treated as equal quidditch players, the females shouldn't have joined the team in the first place.

When Sato commented about the child beater, Kenshin thought he was talking about him. He was one of the youngest players of the team and he could be a bit immature at times. Compared to Kirke, though, he was as old as his uncle.

"I seriously hope I can remove that veela woman." Kenshin commented. "I still think it's unfair for her to be allowed to play and the sooner she's removed, the better."

Daisuke was having a hard time caring about the strategy for the game against France, mostly because he was not playing in it and was not nearly as outraged about the veela woman's presence as some of his teammates were. Hopefully she would be too pretty to properly play the game, and had only gotten her spot because of her non-human blood - no, Dais suspected that the women who were just women would be more dangerous.

Of course he did not say this, because no one had asked them.

He murmured to Hitomi, "I hope the snitch is sighted soon. Might give the beaters something to do other than - eeg!"

Lockhart from England's shoulder had just been dislocated, and Elala's nose was now bleeding.

"Well, other than try to kill each other, apparently. I hope the French are less violent than these four."
