A WIFE'S BETRAYAL MR. ALEXEI VOLKOV SPEAKS OUT ABOUT WIFE'S "HURTFUL LIES"

Alexei Volkov, husband of "married fiancée" Ivana Vokov, claims that his wife's story of their life together was "riddled with lies and half-truths." Again, the facts have not been verified. "From the beginning, Ivana took poorly to being a wife," he claims. "The scars on her back were already present -- according to her school, received as the result of disrespecting a hippogriff -- and if I had known how she received them I may have been more hesitant to marry her. Ivana was constantly disrespectful, and nothing was ever good enough for her. She claimed I did not finance enough for her frivolous spending, and every other imagined slight set her into a childish tantrum. "I hoped, when I learned that she carried our child, that Ivana would focus on something other than herself. I did not beat her; I have never raised fist or whip against a woman. _____________________________________________________________

For some reason -- a reason I will never comprehend -- Ivana found a way to do away with our child." Tears could be seen in Mr. Volkov's eyes as he finished speaking. It took several moments for him to be able to continue. "It was then that I knew I could not trust my wife with anything. At the same time, I could not shame us both with a divorce, especially not when in the process such a shameful secret would come to light. I sought to spare us both, and then Ivana disappeared at Zoya's wedding. I did not know where she had gone or why, and had no idea if it was of her own will or by force. It was only when I saw her engagement announced in the paper that I had any idea what had happened. "But it is over now. "NO HARM WILL COME FROM MY FAMILY" MARCUS CARTER SPEAKS AT PRESS CONFERENCE AT MINISTRY OF MAGIC

Yesterday late afternoonin the Being Division of the Department of Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures took place a press conference. Marcus Carter, a young employee of that Division, spoke about the recent news about presence of famous vampire hunter, Abraham Van Helsing, in Hogsmeade. Apparently, Ministry of Magic asked Mr. Van Helsing for special help due to the discovery of a few bodies that had been drained of blood. The disovery was hidden from public knowledge so as to not spread panic and to avoid laying false accusations on Mrs. Wakefield, who is the only one publicly known vampire in the village. Marcus Carter is known within the Department as a fighter of equal rights for vampires, such like the right to using wands. He is quite a new employee of the Ministry, however his superiors says about him many good words. "I've talked with Mr. Van Helsing before this conference," Mr. Carter said when we asked about the interview which Mrs. Wakefield had with the reporter of the Daily Prophet. that humans and vampires can exist together in peace. The tradition of his order says that they eliminate only those elements who were unable to assimilate with humans. He revealed to me that he heard that a very dangerous vampire is roaming around our peaceful village." Mr. Carter reported also that Mr. Van Helsing does understand Mrs. Wakefield's fears and promises that no harm will come from his family and as a sign of a good will invites Mrs. Wakefield with her children to an upcoming private ceremony of coming out of one of his daughters. "Mr. Van Helsing would also like to explain that the Order of the Dawn, a group of scholars to which his family belongs, has a great and long history and tradition and a vampire as aged as Mrs. Wakefield should understand that the tradition is something of a great value." At the end of the press conference, Mr. Carter invited all vampires who reside in Hogsmeade to his home for a meeting which will take place on March 1st.
