EVENT ANNOUNCER - ROUND 1 After spending three and three-quarters hours wandering through the maze of the Ministry with several cramped lift rides (at least one having been uncomfortably haunted by a grumpy and blood purist old ghost), you have been given your supplies and map stuffed into a grey knapsack. If you are the first group member, you have also been given the responsibility of caring for a Ministry owl and are told to keep it with you at all times - you don't need to worry about feeding it, as it can hunt for itself. Then, you are shown the door and instructed to meet with your group members at a designated spot. You are also issued a harsh reminder of the consequences of being a deserter before you're shoved out into the spring's early morning sunlight.
The adventure has begun.
You have been informed that your group members are:
Gideon Browne, 17 years old, Middle class, Ravenclaw sixth year prefect Charlie Bones, 17, Gryffindor Seeker, Middle Class Briony Fitzpatrick, 18, no occupation, lower class, but looks upper Cora Ashby, 17, Sixth Year Ravenclaw, Middle Class
You introduce yourselves, review your maps, and then must come to a decision of which direction you need to start in.
Which part of Hogsmeade do you disembark from? a. West Slums b. East Slums c. South Slums
OOC DIRECTIONS: 1.) Have your character introduce themselves. Mention in their post (doesn't have to spoken aloud) what else, if anything, they have brought with them. If it isn't mentioned here, then they won't have it later on in the trail unless it is found/made. Those who post first will be assumed to have spoken first.
2.) Assume all introductions have been made and then have them choose a direction/remain neutral. Points 1 and 2 should both be included in your character's first post.
3.) If the group comes to a decision before the round ends, you can have your group head in that direction. (Decisions will be made when all characters have had a turn to state their choice or the three days are up. Special instances are allowed and must be discussed with Lola.)

Gideon could barely sleep the previous night. When she closed his eyes he saw himself attacked by wolves, bears and other demonic creatures. He tried to assure himself that everything was going to be alright, that he was intelligent enough to survive for a few weeks.
Finally, the time had come. He had brought with him only his wand and a book with useful spells about survival. At first he wanted to bring the whole school library with him but then he figured that he wouldn't have enough time to read all of them. Besides, he wouldn't be strong enough to carry all those books around.
At the Ministry, he was given his supplies and some bird that he was supposed to take care of. Gideon never had a great relationship with animals, because most of them scared him. Still, a bird wouldn't be such a dangerous animal. Besides, he was proud that he was given such a responsobility.
He waited for his team-mates, thinking again and again about the things he was being told of. He also tried to look as confident as possible. Miss Cora Ashby was going to be in the same group as him, and Gideon didn't want to seem silly in front of his fellow classmate.
Finally, his team-mates appeared. " Good day, everyone." Gideon greeted politely the three of them. " My name is Gideon Browne. I am honoured to share this experience with you." Being polite was always important.
The others introduced themselves and then Gideon took out his map. Where they were supposed to go no? " So, where should we go?" Gideon asked and mentally scolded himself for not sounding too confident. " What about the East Slums?"

Gideon, Briony and Cora. Those were Charlie’s group members. Gideon was a prefect the year below him, Ravenclaw he was sure, and Cora was also a Ravenclaw the year below him. He had never heard the name Briony before, so he wasn’t sure who she was. He hoped that she would, perhaps, be someone older who could help them out. As it was, they were only three students. Charlie was working hard to become an auror, and had most of his schooling behind him, but he didn’t have an ounce of actual training to help. He wondered how anyone of them would actually survive this trip if Briony wasn’t an adult who was extremely skilled.
With his Ministry packed sack on his back, Charlie made his way to their designated meeting spot. Gideon was already there. He smiled and shook the boys hand. “Charlie Bones. You’re a Ravenclaw, right?” Charlie introduced himself to the other group members and was both shocked and disappointed to see that Briony looked to be a girl no older than fifteen, though he knew she must have been seventeen in order to have been chosen for the expansion excursion. He sighed and shifted his pack. He hadn’t thought to bring extra food, though that would’ve been a smart move. In his pack was the ministry issued items, as well as extra clothing. His wand was tucked behind his ear.
Charlie pursed his lips. “East you say?” He paused and looked at his other group members. He really hadn’t thought about which way would be best to start, but going east couldn’t hurt. He shrugged. “East is fine with me. Anyone else have any other suggestions?”

Briony felt very weird about the whole being drafted thing. For her it was scary. It was an adventure, surely, but a scary one. She never really went outside her comfort zones and if she did, her friends and close ones were nearby. Now, she was alone with humans. No friends to help her out. The redhead was nervous, afraid she might hurt someone. It was really hard to resist temptation, especially for someone as new to the vampire life as her.
To help herself out, she brought some viols of blood with her, telling everyone it's just her strange looking medicine. The supply should be enough for a month, if they had to go further, it would be hard. She had also brought various hats to protect her sensitive skin from the sun and her outfit was long-sleeved for the same reason. She looked at the others quietly and finally decide to speak. ”I'm Briony Fitzpatrick” She said quietly. ”East sounds good to me...”
EVENT ANNOUNCER - ROUND 2 You spend all day traveling through the forest. The trees are comfortably placed and you seem to make good timing. The shade and sun are dappled, so you may receive sun burns, but are not too warm. When the sun begins to fall, the trees finally thin out and you reach a meadow. You have the options to camp for the night there at the edge of the treeline, or you can continue following the meadow to see what's on the other side of it.
What do you choose? a. Camp for the night and follow the meadow in the morning b. Follow the meadow now and worry about camping later
OOC DIRECTIONS 1.) Have your character vote which route they are to take.

A meadow. A beautiful meadow. It reminded Charlie of Tisi, whom he hadn't spoken to in awhile. He missed her presence in his life, and blankly wondered if she had been drafted. He was certain she could have told him if she had been... wouldn't she? He let out an inaudible sigh and took another good look at the meadow. It looked rather daunting to cross, but he was strong, especially from quidditch, and he knew he could easily make it through the meadow to explore what the other side had to offer.
What was it they were looking for, anyway? There had been nothing between their leaving point and the meadow that would inhibit the expansion of Hogsmeade. Couldn't they just go back and tell the ministry that? How much more land did they need??
"I'm fine continuing on," Charlie said, placing his hands on his hips and looking around at the members of his group, "unless anyone wants to stop. If you want to stop, please speak up. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think we will best get on with each other if we're open, honest, and respectful of each others' opinions." Charlie looked around at his group, particularly Gideon. He was older than the boy, and felt perhaps just a bit jealous that Gideon was deemed group leader despite his age, but Gideon's natural leader abilities came through anyway.

Gideon was not especially tired and he wouldn't mind continuing, but he was concerned about the ladies of their group. Women didn't possess as much strenght as men did. It was not that Gideon concidered women weak, in fact, his sisters were way more stronger than him. Still, both Miss Fitzpatrick and Cora were wearing dresses and most likely not comfortable shoes, so the Ravenclaw was not sure if they would be able to continue.
He didn't want to seem weak, though.
" I believe we should continue, as well. If we get too tired we can easy find a place to camp." Gideon said, turning his ice blue eyes to the girls. " Ladies, I hope you do not mind to continuing."

Cora did not like being on the trail. Her feet were sore, her body ached, and all she wanted to do was curl up in her blankets and sleep for ages. “What does it matter?” Cora whined in response to Gideon. “You two practically decided. Might as well keep going if you two are so adamant about it,” her voice grew harsh. Maybe it was just the irritability of having little water, food, rest, and other luxuries the seventeen year old took advantage, or shall I say the lack thereof. She was grumpy and Cora foresaw that the boys would no doubt reprimand her for her harshness. “I, however, think that we should rest for the night. The meadow isn't going anywhere and I need to treat my sunburn. Redheads don't fair well in the light.”
